Before First Use

Remove all packing parts from the unit and the container and take the
accessories out of the cooking fat / oil container. Dispose of packaging
material not needed or save it in a location that is not accessible for children.
There is a risk of suffocation!
Check the unit for possible transport damages. Clean the unit as described in
chapter "Maintenance and Cleaning" before using it the first time.

Operation

Never switch on the fryer without cooking fat / oil. If you use firm cooking fat, it
is essential to cut it into small pieces because of the better transfer of heat. Put
the pieces directly into the container and not into the wire basket. If the blocs
are in the wire basket, there will be no heat transmission.
1. Fill the fryer up to the middle of the MIN / MAX marking (ca. 6 l). Do not
exceed the MAX marking, otherwise the boiling oil / fat may cause burn-
ings.
2. Plug the power plug into a socket earthed according to regulations. The
power supply control light ON / OFF (4) indicates that the unit is connected
to the power supply system.
3. Close the lid and select the required temperature by turning the thermostat
control dial (1). The heating control light HEAT (3) indicates, that the
heating element is on. At the desired temperature the lamp turns off. When
the temperature decreases, the thermostat automatically switches on until
the selected temperature is reached.
4. Now fill the frying goods in the wire basket (7). Preferably, the frying goods
should be free from water.
5. Open the lid (5) of the fryer and put the wire basket into the container. Pay
attention to squirting fat to avoid burnings.
7. Switch the control dial (1) to OFF when you do not use the unit and then
pull the power plug.
Allow the frying oil to cool down before you empty the container.
