The following will help you to install your
HMX 1050 work station.
Should you require further assistance, please

Using the Serial Interface
The user station incorporates a serial menuing interface
that allows you to:
• Alter network settings for the user station and HMIQDI
• Set or change passwords
• Upgrade fi rmware
• Reset units to factory defaults
• Reboot a unit
• View connection status
• Change console settings
The menu system may be accessed via HyperTerminal
and a null modem cable. Confi gure your session as
follows: 57600 bits per second, 8 data bits, no parity, 1
stop bit and no fl ow control. The password is 'password'
for both the transmitter and receiver units.
Supported Refresh Rates
Set the screen resolution and refresh rate of the remote
PC according to the following table. Unsupported
settings will cause blank video at the user station.
