Top Box Fitting Instructions
IMPORTANT: Read the user guide carefully and keep for future reference. Failure to follow
the instructions contained in this user guide may result in damage to the motorcycle and/or
personal injury.
This top box is designed for carrying/storage of everyday personal items.
CAUTION: Over-loading the top box may result in abnormal handling of the motorcycle/
scooter. Only use this top box at road legal speeds.
The top box uses a universal base plate which must be fi tted to a carrier on the motorcycle/
scooter of suffi cient strength to support it.
It is important that the top box and base plate are routinely inspected, to ensure they are
securely fastened and stable.

Fitting
1. Place the base plate on the motorcycle's carrier rack, with the raised edge facing forwards.
2. Place the two bottom stays under the carrier rack, and secure to the base plate using
the bolts, washers and nuts. The carrier rack should sit between the base plate and the
bottom stays.
3. Adjust the postion of the base plate so thats it is located uniformly, and tighten the bolts/
nuts fully.
4. Place the top box on the base plate, ensuring to engage the back of the base into the
raised front edge of the base plate.
5. Open the top box lid, and insert the anchor bolt through the hole in the base and tighten
into the base plate.
Due to the anti-tamper internal anchor bolt fi tting, the top box can be left on the
motorcycle when not in use. Alternatively it can be removed simply by unscrewing the
anchor bolt and lifting the box off the fi tting-plate.
The top box features a spring-activated self-locking mechanism. When the lid is closed the
box is automatically locked. It is opened simply by using the keys provided.

ATTENTION: Toute surcharge de la Top Box peut gêner l'utilisation normale de la moto ou du
scooter. La Top Box doit être utilisée uniquement aux vitesses de conduite réglementaires.
La Top Box se fi xe sur une plaque universelle qui doit être posée sur un porte-bagages
suffi samment résistant pour la supporter, sur la moto ou le scooter.
Il est important de vérifi er systématiquement la Top Box et la plaque de support pour s'assurer
qu'elles sont correctement fi xées et stables.

Montage :
1. Poser la plaque sur le porte-bagages de la moto ou du scooter avec le bord surélevé vers
l'avant.
2. Placer les deux retenues inférieures sous le porte-bagages et les fi xer sur la plaque à l'aide
des boulons, des rondelles et des écrous. Le porte-bagages doit se trouver entre la plaque et
les retenues inférieures.
3. Régler la position de la plaque de façon équilibrée, puis serrer les boulons et les écrous au
maximum.
4. Poser la Top Box sur la plaque en vérifi ant que l'arrière est bien engagé sur le bord surélevé
du châssis.
5. Ouvrir le couvercle de la Top Box, insérer le boulon d'ancrage dans le trou sur la base, puis le
serrer sur la plaque.
Le boulon d'ancrage intérieur inviolable permet de laisser la Top Box sur moto lorsque celle-
ci n'est pas utilisée. Toutefois, on peut la retirer en dévissant le boulon d'ancrage et en la
soulevant de la plaque de montage.
La Top Box est dotée d'un mécanisme de fermeture automatique à ressort. Quand on ferme
le couvercle, la Top Box se verrouille automatiquement. Pour ouvrir, il suffi t d'utiliser les clés
fournies.

Anleitung zur Top Box

zur Beschädigung des Motorrads und/oder zu Verletzungen führen.
Diese Top Box dient zur Beförderung/Aufbewahrung persönlicher Gegenstände für den
täglichen Gebrauch.
ACHTUNG: Das Überladen der Top Box könnte die Handhabung des
Motorrads/Rollers auf abnormale Weise beeinfl ussen. Verwenden Sie diese Top Box
ausschließlich bei gesetzlich zugelassenen Geschwindigkeiten im Straßenverkehr.
Die Top Box hat eine universelle Grundplatte, die auf einem Träger mit ausreichender
Tragfähigkeit am Motorrad/Roller befestigt werden muss.
Es wichtig, die Top Box und Grundplatte regelmäßig zu überprüfen um sicherzustellen, dass
beide sicher befestigt und stabil sind.

Montage
1) Platzieren Sie die Grundplatte auf dem Trägerrahmen des Motorrads, sodass die erhabene
Kante nach vorne weist.
2) Platzieren Sie die unteren Streben unter dem Trägerrahmen und befestigen Sie sie an der
Grundplatte mit den beiliegenden Bolzen, Unterlegscheiben und Muttern. Der
Trägerrahmen sollte zwischen der Grundplatte und den unteren Streben sitzen.
3) Passen Sie die Position der Grundplatte so an, dass sie gleichmäßig aufl iegt, und ziehen Sie
die Bolzen und Muttern fest an.
4) Platzieren Sie die Top Box auf der Grundplatte und stellen Sie sicher, dass die Rückseite der
Grundfl äche in der erhabenen Vorderkante der Grundplatte sitzt.
5) Öffnen Sie den Deckel der Top Box. Stecken Sie den Verankerungsbolzen durch das Loch in
der Grundfl äche und ziehen Sie den Bolzen an der Grundplatte an.
Die innere Befestigung der Top Box mittels Verankerungsbolzen verhindert eine Manipulation
an der Box. Daher können Sie die Top Box ruhigen Gewissens am abgestellten Motorrad
lassen. Alternativ können Sie die Box einfach abnehmen, indem Sie den Verankerungsbolzen
herausschrauben und die Box von ihrer Befestigungsplatte abheben.
Die Top Box hat einen federbetätigten Selbstschließmechanismus. Beim Schließen des Deckels
wird die Box automatisch abgeschlossen. Öffnen Sie die Box einfach mit den beiliegenden
Schlüsseln.
