Emptying the Ash Tank and Cleaning the Filter Roll

To increase the service life of the filter roll and
maintain the strong suction power of the ash
vacuum it is recommended to clean the filter
roll after each use. Empty the ash tank
regularly, especially when the motor loses its
suction power. Please note that cold ashes
become incrusted on the filter roll during
vacuuming. This blocks the filter and the motor
is not properly aired.
1. First switch off the ash vacuum and pull the
power cord before opening the ash tank.
2. Pull off the filter roll and tap it carefully to
remove the ash from the surface. Preferably clean the filter roll outdoors by
using a hand broom, compressed air or similar. If necessary, the filter can be
washed. Wash the filter roll by hand and allow to air dry fully before using
again.

Replacing the Filter Roll

The filter roll is reusable and should be cleaned after each use. Be careful when
cleaning the filter roll; make sure not to damage it. Replace a damaged and
completely worn filter roll with one of the same type.

Cleaning the Ash Vacuum

Switch off the ash vacuum and unplug from power mains before cleaning the
appliance.
Clean the housing of the ash vacuum only with a dry of lightly moistened
cloth. Do not use chemicals or abrasives, in order not do damage the sur-
faces. Do not immerse the lid with the motor into water.

Storing

Store the ash vacuum in a dry and cool place. Do not store the appliance
close to heat sources such as heaters.
Do not expose the ash vacuum to direct sunlight for an extended time.
Extreme heat will damage the appliance.
