TCP/IP printing in Windows NT 3.5x

In order to install TCP/IP printer ports in Windows NT 3.5x environments you
should use AXIS IP Installer and AXIS Print Monitor. AXIS IP Installer is a
Windows utility that allows you to set the IP address of your AXIS OfficeBasic and
AXIS Print Monitor is a Windows utility that allows you to install network print
server.
For peer-to-peer printing, AXIS Print Monitor must be installed on all printing
clients, while it is only necessary to install it on the server for client-server printing.
1. Install AXIS IP Installer and AXIS Print Monitor on your client. Both utilities are
available on the AXIS OfficeBasic CD.
2. Set the IP address of the AXIS OfficeBasic using AXIS IP Installer.
3. Use the Add Printer Wizard, available in your Windows operating system, to
install your TCP/IP printers. The AXIS Print Monitor's built-in Help system
describes, in step-by-step fashion, how this operation is performed. It can be
started from the AXIS Utilities folder.
Note:
As the AXIS OfficeBasic emulates the behavior of a local printer port, you must select the My
Computer alternative when performing the instructions in the Add Printer Wizard.
Refer to the AXIS OfficeBasic User's Manual for a more comprehensive description
of the AXIS IP Installer and the AXIS Print Monitor.
NetBIOS/NetBEUI Printing - Windows 95/98,
NT and 2000
In order to install NetBIOS/NetBEUI printer ports in your Windows environment
you should use AXIS Print Monitor. It is a windows utility that allows you to install
network print server in the same simple fashion as local printer ports.
For peer-to-peer printing, AXIS Print Monitor must be installed on all printing
clients, while it is only necessary to install it on the server for client-server printing.
Important!
As AXIS Print Monitor is an integral part of AXIS Print System, you should NOT install an
independent version of AXIS Print Monitor if AXIS Print System is already installed on your client.

CD.
