Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Der CPU Wasserkühler dient als Erweiterungsset für ein Flüssigkühlsystem wie (Best.-Nr. 97 42 43 oder
99 87 87). Er dient zur Kühlung einer CPU, wenn der Computer eingeschaltet ist. Er kann auf Intel P4
LGA775, Intel P4 478, AMD K7 und AMD K8 Prozessoren und der Intel BTX Plattform installiert werden.
Eine andere als die zuvor beschriebene Verwendung ist verboten. Sie kann das Gerät beschädigen und ist
überdies mit Risiken wie Kurzschluss, Brand, elektrischer Stromschlag, usw. verbunden. Das gesamte Gerät
darf nicht verändert oder umgebaut werden. Die Sicherheitshinweise in dieser Bedienungsanleitung sind
unbedingt zu beachten. Bitte lesen Sie die Bedienungsanleitung aufmerksam durch und bewahren Sie diese
für spätere Rückfragen gut auf.

Wichtige Hinweise, die unbedingt zu beachten sind, werden in dieser Bedienungsanleitung
durch das Ausrufezeichen gekennzeichnet.
• Aus Sicherheits- und Zulassungsgründen (CE) ist das eigenmächtige Umbauen und/oder Verändern des
Produktes nicht gestattet.
• Die Betriebsanleitungen des Hauptplatine und des bestehenden Flüssigkühlsystems müssen vor
Installation und Betrieb des Produkts ebenfalls beachtet werden.
• Dieses Produkt ist kein Spielzeug und gehört nicht in Kinderhände. Die wärmeleitende Paste auf dem
CPU Wasserblock ist gesundheitsschädlich (vermeiden Sie Augen-/Mundkontakt mit der wärmeleitenden
Paste).
• Wird die wärmeleitende Paste mit Haut in Berührung gebracht, wischen Sie die betroffene Stelle mit
einem trockenen Tuch ab und reinigen Sie sie dann gründlich mit warmem Wasser und Seife. Bei
Augenkontakt spülen Sie das betroffene Auge umgehend mit warmem Wasser aus. Begeben Sie sich
dann sofort in ärztliche Behandlung.
• Bei fehlenden Fachkenntnissen für die Installation des CPU Kühlers veranlassen Sie bitte den Einbau
durch einen Fachmann bzw. eine entsprechend qualifizierte Firma.
• Bei unsachgemäßem Einbau kann die CPU aufgrund Überhitzung dauerhaft beschädigt werden, da die
Kühlleistung dann nicht ausreichend ist.
• Wartung, Anpassungs- und Reparaturarbeiten dürfen nur von einem Fachmann bzw. einer Fachwerkstatt
durchgeführt werden.
• Sollten Sie noch Fragen haben, die in dieser Bedienungsanleitung nicht beantwortet werden, so wenden
Sie sich bitte an unseren technischen Kundendienst oder andere Fachleute.
Einbau
Vor dem Einbau des Produktes fahren Sie den Computer herunter und schalten ihn
mit dem auf der Rückseite des Netzteils befindlichen Hauptschalters aus. Das bloße
Ausschalten des Computers am Ein/Aus-Schalter reicht nicht aus.
Achten Sie darauf, vor allen Arbeiten an empfindlichen Computerteilen alle statische
Elektrizität von Ihrem Körper abzuleiten. Elektrostatische Entladungen können den
Computer oder einzelne Hardwarekomponenten beschädigen.
Beachten Sie die Bedienungsanleitung des Herstellers in englischer Sprache für detaillierte
Installationsanweisungen.
Anschluss des Anschlussschlauches
1. Entfernen Sie die schwarzen Gummikappen von der Einlass- und Austrittsöffnung des Wasserblocks.
2. Verbinden Sie den Anschlussschlauch mit der Einlass- und Austrittsöffnung.
3. Ziehen Sie die Verbindung mittels der Verschlüsse am Schlauch fest.
Befestigung des Wasserblocks auf CPU
Die Vorgehensweise für die Installation variiert je nach dem, ob der CPU Wasserblock als Ersatz eines alten
CPU Kühlers/Wasserblocks dienen soll oder ob ein neuer Computer zusammengestellt wird.
A) Ausbau eines bestehenden CPU Lüfters/Wasserblocks
1. Öffnen Sie das PC-Gehäuse, entfernen Sie der Hauptplatine und nehmen Sie den alten CPU Lüfter/
Wasserblock sorgsam heraus.
Trennen Sie vor dem Herausnehmen eines alten Wasserblocks die Anschlussbuchse
von der Pumpe und entleeren Sie das Kühlmittel aus dem Flüssigkühlsystem.
Verwenden Sie einen Behälter für das Entleeren der Kühlflüssigkeit.
2. Entfernen Sie mit einem weichen Tuch die Reste der wärmeleitenden Paste bzw. wärmeleitenden Folie
vollständig von der Oberfläche der CPU, da die CPU andernfalls dauerhaft beschädigt werden kann!
B) Neuinstallation
1. Stellen Sie beim Zusammensetzen eines neuen Computers den Hebel des CPU-Sockels in vertikale
Stellung und setzen Sie die CPU korrekt (und sorgfältig) ein. Schließen Sie den CPU-Sockel dann wieder.
2. Legen Sie der Hauptplatine auf eine flache, glatte Oberfläche. Zum Schutz der Oberfläche (zum Beispiel
Schreibtisch) können Sie ein Stück Pappe zwischen Oberfläche und Hauptplatine platzieren.

3. Bringen Sie die wärmeleitende Paste ordnungsgemäß an CPU und CPU-Halterung an. Ein dünner Film
von ca. 0,1 mm bis 0,2 mm ist ausreichend. Ein Stück dünner Pappe kann zum Verteilen der Paste
verwendet werden.
Geben Sie die wärmeleitende Paste beim AMD K7 CPU (z.B. AMD Athlon XP) lediglich auf das
ca. 1 * 1 cm große "DIE"-Plättchen in der Mitte der CPU.
Beim AMD K8 CPU (AMD64) oder Intel P4 CPU (Base 478 oder 775) muss die wärmeleitende
Paste auf die gesamte metallische Oberfläche aufgetragen werden.
Lediglich ein dünner Film wärmeleitender Paste sollte zwischen CPU und CPU
Wasserblock aufgetragen werden.
Bringen Sie niemals einen Temperatursensor dazwischen an! Aufgrund des größeren
Abstandes zwischen CPU und CPU Wasserblock würde sich der Kühleffekt verringern;
die CPU würde überhitzen und dauerhaften Schaden nehmen.
Die wärmeleitende Paste ist lediglich für einmaligen Gebrauch gedacht und darf nicht
mehrmals verwendet werden. Das Material wird durch Hitzeeffekte verändert. Wenden
Sie deshalb die wärmeleitende Paste immer dann an, wenn ein neuer CPU Kühler
eingebaut wird.
4. Entfernen Sie die Plastikfolie vom CPU Wasserblock. Setzen Sie den CPU Wasserblock auf die CPU. Stellen
Sie sicher, dass er richtig auf der CPU aufsitzt.
5. Installieren Sie der Hauptplatine im Computergehäuse.
Verbinden der Schläuche an den CPU Wasserblock
1. Wählen Sie Schläuche (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) und Anschlussbuchsen mit einem
Innendurchmesser, der dem bestehenden Flüssigkühlsystem entspricht.
2. Verbinden Sie die Anschlussbuchsen mit den Einlass- und Austrittsöffnungen des CPU Wasserblocks.
3. Schneiden Sie die Schläuche mit einer Schere oder einem Messer senkrecht im 90° Winkel, nicht schräg,
auf die erforderliche Länge zurecht.
4. Lockern Sie die Gewindemutter auf der Anschlussbuchse und führen Sie den Schlauch durch die Mutter.
5. Führen Sie den Schlauch durch den restlichen Teil der Anschlussbuchse und ziehen Sie dann die
Gewindemutter fest.
Anschluss des CPU Wasserblocks an ein bestehendes Flüssigkühlsystem
1. Entfernen Sie die Anschlussbuchse von der Pumpe und entleeren Sie das Kühlmittel aus dem
Flüssigkühlsystem. Verwenden Sie einen Behälter für das Entleeren der Kühlflüssigkeit.
2. Legen Sie sich sämtliche erforderlichen Gegenstände vor dem Trennen der Anschlussbuchsen griffbereit
zurecht.
3. Der Computer muss während des Einbaus trocken gehalten werden.
4. Lockern Sie die Gewindemuttern der Verbundteile, wie Pumpe oder andere Kühlteile, und führen Sie die
Schläuche durch die Muttern.
5. Führen Sie die Schläuche in die Einlass- und Austrittsöffnungen der Verbundteile ein und ziehen Sie die
Gewindemuttern fest.
6. Überprüfen Sie erneut, dass alle Verbindungen fest angezogen sind.
7. Schließen Sie das PC-Gehäuse und stecken Sie das Stromkabel wieder ein.
Tipps & Anmerkungen
• Wird das CPU-Kühlelement entfernt, müssen CPU-Kühlelement und CPU von allen Resten der alten
wärmeleitenden Paste gereinigt werden, bevor das Kühlelement wieder an seinem Platz angebracht wird;
nach der vollständigen Reinigung ist die neue wärmeleitende Paste anzubringen.
• Nach Einbau des Produkts kann der Transport des Computers sehr schwierig sein. Es ist möglich, dass
das Kühlmittel beim Transport ausläuft. Stellen sie deshalb sicher, dass der Computer während des
Transports senkrecht steht, oder bauen Sie das Flüssigkühlsystem zuvor vollständig aus.

Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden gesetzlichen
Bestimmungen.

Intended use
The CPU water cooler serves as an expansion set for a liquid cooling system such as (Item no. 97 42 43 or
99 87 87). It serves to cool a CPU when the computer is switched on. It can be installed on Intel P4 LGA775,
Intel P4 478, AMD K7 and AMD K8 processor and Intel BTX platform.
Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product and lead to associated
risks such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modified or rebuilt. Please
read the operating instructions thoroughly and keep them for further reference.

Safety instructions

• Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the device are inadmissible because of safety and
approval reasons (CE).
• The operating instructions of the motherboard and the existing liquid cooling system must likewise be
observed before installation and operation of the product.
• The product is not a toy and has no place in the hands of children. The heat-conductive paste applied to
the CPU water block is hazardous to health (avoid mouth/eye contact with heat-conductive paste).
• If the heat-conductive paste come into contact with skin, wipe it off with a dry cloth and then clean the
area thoroughly with warm water and soap. In case the heat-conductive paste contacts with the eye, flood
the affected eye immediately with warm water. Then consult a doctor immediately.
• If you have no specialist knowledge of installation of the CPU cooler, please arrange for the installation to
be carried out by a specialist or a suitable specialist workshop.
• If the product is improperly installed, the cooling effect will not be sufficient; the CPU could be damaged
permanently due to overheat.
• Servicing, adjustment or repair works must only be carried out by a specialist or specialist workshop.
• If any questions arise that are not answered in this operating instruction, please contact our Technical
Advisory Service or other experts.
Installation
Before installing the product, shut down the computer and then switch it off through
the power switch on the back of the power supply. Switching off the computer by on/off
switch is not sufficient.
Ground yourself to remove electrical static discharge (ESD) from your body and clothes
during installation. ESD can damage or destroy your computer or hardware components.
For detailed step-by-step instructions for installation, please refer to the manufacturer's English
manual.
Connecting the connecting hose
1. Remove the black rubber caps from the inlet and outlet of the water block.
2. Insert the connecting hoses to the inlet and the outlet.
3. Use the clips on the hoses to tighten the connection.
Mounting the water block to CPU
Depending on whether the CPU water block is to be used as a replacement for an existing „old" CPU cooler/
water block or whether you wish to assemble a new computer, the procedures vary.
A) Removing existing CPU cooler/ water block
1. Open the computer case, remove the motherboard and extract the old CPU cooler/ water block carefully.
Before extracting an old water block, disconnect the connector from the pump and
drain the coolant out of the liquid cooling system. Make sure to use a container to
receive the coolant.
2. Remove any remnants of heat-conductive paste or heat-conductive foil completely from the surface of
the CPU, with a soft object only. Be very careful as otherwise the CPU may be permanently damaged!
B) New Installation
1. When assembling a new computer, put the lever of the CPU base into the vertical position, insert the CPU
correctly (and carefully) and close the CPU base again.
2. Position the motherboard on a smooth, flat service. To protect the surface (e.g. writing-desk), insert a
piece of cardboard between the motherboard and surface.
3. Place the heat-conductive paste correctly on the CPU and CPU base. A thin layer of approx. 0.1mm to
0.2mm is sufficient. A piece of thin cardboard can be used to spread the paste.
With an AMD K7 CPU (e.g. AMD Athlon XP), only apply the heat-conductive paste to the
approximately 1 * 1cm "DIE" in the middle of the CPU.
For an AMD K8 CPU (AMD64) or Intel P4 CPU (base 478 or 775), the heat-conductive paste
must be applied to the entire upper metal surface.

Only a thin layer of heat-conductive paste should be placed between the CPU and the
CPU water block.
Never place a temperature sensor in between! Due to the greater displacement
between the CPU and the CPU water block, cooling effect will be lessened; the CPU will
overheat and be permanently damaged.
The heat-conductive paste is only for a single usage and cannot be reused. The
material is altered by the effects of heat. Therefore, apply new heat-conductive paste
whenever, a new CPU cooler is installed.
4. Remove the plastic film from the CPU water block. Put the CPU water block on top of the CPU. Make sure
it rests properly on the CPU.
5. Install the motherboard in the computer case.
Connecting the hoses to the CPU water block
1. Choose the hoses, not included, and connectors with an inner diameter matching that of the existing
liquid cooling system.
2. Connect the connectors to the inlet and the outlet of the CPU water block.
3. Cut the hoses perpendicularly, not obliquely, to adequate length with a pair of scissors or cutter.
4. Loosen the nuts from the connector and pass the hose through the nut.
5. Insert the hose to the remaining part of the connector and then tighten the nuts.
Connecting the CPU water block to the existing liquid cooling system
1. Disconnect the connector from the pump and drain the coolant out of the liquid cooling system. Make sure
to use a container to receive the coolant.
2. Prepare all necessary equipment before disconnecting the connectors.
3. The computer must be kept dry during installation.
4. Loosen the nuts of the connecting devices, such as the pump or other cooling parts, and then pass the
hoses through the nuts.
5. Insert the hoses to the inlet and outlet of the connecting devices and tighten the nuts.
6. Check again to make sure all the connections are tightened.
7. Close the computer case and connect the computer to the mains supply.
Tips & notes
• If the CPU cooling element ever needs to be removed, the CPU cooling element and the CPU must be
cleaned of all remnants of the old heat-conductive paste before the cooling element is put back in place;
and the new heat-conductive paste must be applied after cleaning is completed.
• It could be very difficult to transport the computer after the product has been installed. It is possible that
the coolant will leak out during transportation. Therefore when transporting the computer, make sure that
the computer is placed in an vertical position or dismount and completely disassemble the liquid cooling
system beforehand.

Disposal
When the device has reached the end of its product lifespan, dispose of it in accordance with
the current statutory regulations.
