Installation.
The ATB 1280 has to be fixed on his designated place in the car ( mostly the rear boot ), using for example
textil webbings. Afterwards all connections except the plus wire can be connected. To minimize all distor-
tions from the electrical car system please place the signal wire mostly separated to all electrical consumers
like the fuel pump and also separated from the plus wire. Finally the plus wire can be connected first to the
ATB 1280 and then to the plus position of the car battery.
First start.
The LEVEL control must be turned counterclockwise to MIN, the CROSSOVER should be switched to 120 Hz
and the PHASE should be switched to 0 deg. Afterwards the car receiver can be turned to on. Use only a mo-
derate sound level! Please turn the LEVEL control clockwise up to the bass level reaches the expected level.
Use the CROSSOVER switch and the PHASE switch to match the subwoofer to the best sound in the car.

FUSE
(Sicherung Verstärker / Amplifier Fuse)
Die Sicherung schützt Verstärker und die elektrische Anlage des
Autos gegen Kurzschlüsse. ACHTUNG! Die Sicherung darf nur
gegen eine neue, gleich starke Sicherung getauscht werden.
Auf keinen Fall darf die Sicherung überbrückt werden.
FUSE
The fuse protects both the amplifier and the electricalsystem of the
automobile against short circuits. ATTENTION! For resetting the
fuse the use of the same type is strictly recommended Never
bridge the fuse!

An d
ie Klemme BATT wird die Plussleitung von der Autobatterie ange-
schlossen, die Klemme GRD wird mit einem Massepunkt an der Karos-

serie des Fahrzeugs oder dem Minuspol der Autobatterie verbunden.
Die Klemme REM dient dem Anschluss der Steuerleitung des Steuer-
gerätes an den Subwoofer. Dieser Anschluss schaltet den Verstärker
des Subwoofers zusammen mit dem Autoradio ein.
Connect the BATT terminal directly to the PLUS (+) position of the car
battery. Connect the GRD terminal to the car chassis or to the MINUS
position of the car battery. The REM Terminal musst be connected to
the remote wire / terminal of the receiver. This connection is switching
the amplifier of the subwoofer to ON together with the receiver.
