Intended use
The active PA Box is for amplification and playback of audio signals from audio devices.
The input may only be connected to low-level audio outputs from audio devices.
This product is only approved for connection to 220-240V/110-120V~/50-60Hz AC power via an earthed
mains socket.
The product may only be used indoors; never outdoors. Do not expose to moisture, for example in
bathrooms or similar spaces.
Any use other than that described above will lead to damage to the product and involves other risks, such
as short circuits, fire or electrical shocks.
No part of the product may be modified or converted in any way. Do not open the housing!
Always observe the safety instructions.
This product complies with the national and European legal requirements.

safety instructions! We do not assume liability for any resulting damage.
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by
improper use or failure to observe the safety instructions. The warranty will be void in
such cases.

Please read the entire operating instructions prior to start up, they contain important
information on the correct operation of the product.
The lightning symbol in a triangle warns you against unprotected live components or
elements inside the housing or „live" connection points. Coming into contact with these
components or connection points can be fatal.
Cables connected to such connection points may only be connected by an expert or you
must use ready-to-connect cables.
The device contains no parts that should be serviced by the user. Therefore, do not
open the device.
• For safety and approval (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifications to the product are
not permitted.
• All persons operating, installing, setting up, commissioning or servicing this device must be trained and
qualified correspondingly and observe these operating instructions.
• Never touch the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• The device is manufactured according to protection class 1. Only a proper mains socket (220-240/110-
120V~/50-60Hz) of the public grid and with an earthed mains design may be used.
• Extra care should be taken when using the device for the first time. Therefore, please follow the operating
instructions carefully.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices that are connected to the active
PA box.
• Make sure the mains cable is not squashed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or otherwise subjected to
mechanical strain. Avoid excess thermal stress on the mains cable due to excess heat or cold. Do not
modify the mains cable. This may damage the mains cable. A damaged power cable can result in a life-
threatening electric shock.
• If the power cable is damaged, do not touch it. First, switch off the appropriate mains socket (e.g. via the
respective circuit-breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the socket. Separate the mains
cable from the device. Never use the product if the power cable is damaged.
• In order to completely separate the device from the electricity network, you have to pull the mains plug
out of the wall socket. It is not sufficient to turn off the PA box using the on/off switch.
• Ensure adequate ventilation of the device during operation. Do not cover the ventilation slits with
magazines, blankets, curtains or similar. Keep a minimumdistance of approx. 15cm to other devices.
• This product is not a toy, it is not suitable for children. Children are not aware of the potential dangers
when using electrical devices.
• Never pour liquids over electrical devices and never place objects filled with liquid on top of them (e. g.
vases). You run the risk of causing a fire or a fatal electric shock. If this is the case, de-energise the appro-
priate socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) before removing the plug-in mains unit from the socket.
Disconnect all cables from the device. Afterwards, the product can no longer be used; take it to a specialist
workshop.
• Do not place naked flames such as burning candles on top of the device.
• Do not keep any magnetic storage media such as disks, video cassettes or similar close to the Active PA
Box as the magnetic field of the loudspeaker may corrupt the information stored on these media.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music for long periods of time. This may damage your hearing.
• Do not expose the PA box to high temperatures, dripping or spray water, strong vibrations or high
humidity.
• Only use the product in a moderate climate, never in tropical climates.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous plaything for chil-
dren.
• You should also observe the additional safety instructions in each section of these instructions.
• Pay attention to the applicable regulations and laws e.g. the accident prevention regulations of the
Association of the Industrial Workers' Society for electrical equipment and utilities and so on, when using
it in commercial or public places. As the operator, you must obtain information from the authorities in
charge and you are responsible for observing the applicable laws and regulations.
• If in doubt about how to connect the device correctly, or should any questions arise that are not answered
in these operating instructions, please contact our technical advisory service or another specialist.
• If you have doubts about how the equipment should be operated or how to safely connect it, consult a
trained technician.
