Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Produkt ist zum Einbau in einen 5.25"-Einschub eines Computergehäuses vorgesehen. Dort dient es
nicht nur zur Anzeige von Systemdaten (Uhrzeit, Windows-Version usw.), sondern es ist ein IR-Empfänger
für die mitgelieferte Fernbedienung integriert. Über diese können dafür geeignete Programme kabellos
gesteuert werden. Die im Lieferumfang enthaltene Software bietet weiterhin Funktionen zur Verwaltung von
Multimedia-Dateien (Bilder, Videos und Musik).
Alle enthaltenen Firmennamen und Produktbezeichnungen sind Warenzeichen der jeweiligen
Inhaber. Alle Rechte vorbehalten.

Batterie- und Akkuhinweise
• Batterien und Akkus gehören nicht in Kinderhände.
• Achten Sie beim Einlegen der Batterien auf die richtige Polung (Plus/+ und Minus/- beachten).
• Lassen Sie Batterien/Akkus nicht offen herumliegen, es besteht die Gefahr, dass diese von Kindern oder
Haustieren verschluckt werden. Suchen Sie im Falle eines Verschluckens sofort einen Arzt auf.
• Ausgelaufene oder beschädigte Batterien/Akkus können bei Berührung mit der Haut Verätzungen
verursachen, benutzen Sie deshalb in diesem Fall geeignete Schutzhandschuhe.
• Batterien/Akkus dürfen niemals kurzgeschlossen, zerlegt oder ins Feuer geworfen werden. Explosions-
gefahr!
• Herkömmliche Batterien dürfen nicht aufgeladen werden, Explosionsgefahr!
Batterie in die Fernbedienung einlegen, Batteriewechsel
• Für die IR-Fernbedienung werden zwei Batterien vom Typ Micro (AAA) benötigt.
• Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach auf der Fernbedienung und legen Sie die Batterien polungsrichtig ein
(Plus/+ und Minus/- beachten). Im Batteriefach finden Sie eine entsprechende Markierung.
• Verschließen Sie das Batteriefach.
• Ein Batteriewechsel ist erforderlich, wenn die IR-Reichweite abnimmt oder der Einschub bzw. die
Software nicht mehr auf die Fernbedienung reagiert.
• Entsorgen Sie die Batterie umweltgerecht, siehe Kapitel „Entsorgung".
Treiber- und Softwareinstallation

Installieren Sie vor dem Einbau zuerst die mitgelieferte Software.
Legen Sie die mitgelieferte CD in das entsprechende Laufwerk Ihres Computers ein. Falls das Installations-
programm nicht automatisch erscheint, so starten Sie das Programm „iMONSetup.exe" im Hauptverzeichnis
der CD. Folgen Sie allen Anweisungen.
Nach Abschluss der Installation ist das Betriebssystem herunterzufahren und der Computer auszuschalten.
Einbau
Falls Sie keine Fachkenntnisse für den Einbau besitzen, so lassen Sie den Einbau von einer
FACHKRAFT oder einer entsprechenden Fachwerkstatt durchführen!
Durch unsachgemäßen Einbau wird sowohl der Einschub als auch Ihr Computer und alle
angeschlossenen Geräte beschädigt.
Vorsicht, Lebensgefahr!
Schalten Sie den Computer, in den das Produkt eingebaut werden soll und alle angeschlos-
senen Geräte aus und trennen Sie alle Geräte von der Netzspannung, ziehen Sie den
Netzstecker! Das Ausschalten über den Ein-/Ausschalter genügt nicht!

In der englischsprachigen Bedienungsanleitung auf der CD finden Sie eine Abbildung für die
genaue Verkabelung des Produkts.
• Öffnen Sie das Gehäuse Ihres Computers und nehmen Sie den Gehäusedeckel vorsichtig ab.
• Fügen Sie den ATX-Zwischenstecker zwischen den ATX-Stromanschluss des Mainboards und den ATX-
Stecker des Computernetzteils ein.
Achten Sie auf richtigen Anschluss, wenden Sie dabei keine Gewalt an.
• Suchen Sie einen freien 5.25"-Einbauschacht und entfernen Sie die zugehörige Frontblende.
Dahinter liegt möglicherweise eine Metallabschirmung, die entfernt werden muss. Bei manchen Gehäu-
sen kann diese abgeschraubt werden, bei manchen ist sie vorsichtig herauszubrechen.
Je nach Gehäuse ist dazu vorher die komplette Frontblende des Gehäuses abzunehmen.
• Verbinden Sie das USB-Kabel mit dem Anschluss „CN4" auf dem Einschub.
• Verbinden Sie das zweipolige Kabel mit dem Anschluss"CN2". Führen Sie es durch den 5.25"-
Einbauschacht. Ziehen Sie den zweipoligen Stecker vom Mainboard ab, der vom ATX-Powertaster auf

der Frontseite zum Mainboard führt und schließen Sie ihn auf der Platine des Einschubs an (2polige

Stiftleiste „CN3"). An dem zweipoligen Kontakt des Mainboards ist das zu Beginn beschriebene Kabel
anzustecken (ggf. Anleitung des Mainboards beachten, Anschluss ist z.B. mit „PWR Button" oder „ATX
PWR BTN" o.ä. bezeichnet). Die Polung dieser Kabel ist jeweils belanglos!
Durch diese Vorgehensweise liegt nun die Platine zwischen dem ATX-Taster auf der Frontseite des
Computergehäuses und dem Anschluss auf dem Mainboard. Dadurch kann später der Computer über
die IR-Fernbedienung eingeschaltet werden.
• Führen Sie das dreipolige Stromanschlusskabel des zu Beginn angesteckten ATX-Steckers von innen
durch den 5.25"-Einbauschacht und schließen Sie es an den entsprechenden Stromanschluss „CN1" auf
der Platine des Einschubs an.
• Schieben Sie den Einschub mit den Kabeln vorsichtig in das Computergehäuse und schrauben Sie ihn
fest.
• Schließen Sie das USB-Kabel entweder an einer „normalen" USB-Buchse an oder an einer entsprechen-
den Stiftleiste des Mainboards.
Wenn Sie eine USB-Stiftleiste des Mainboards verwenden wollen, so ist unbedingt auf
richtigen Anschluss zu achten. Andernfalls wird sowohl das Mainboard als auch der Einschub
zerstört, Verlust von Garantie/Gewährleistung!
Beachten Sie für die Belegung der Stiftleisten des Mainboards dessen Bedienungsanleitung
(USB-Signale: VCC/+5V=, D-, D+, GND; niemals vertauschen!).
• Verlegen Sie die Kabel so, dass sie nicht in einen Lüfter des Computers gelangen können, verwenden
Sie zur Fixierung z.B. Kabelbinder.
• Verschließen Sie das Gehäuse Ihres Computers.
• Verbinden Sie Ihren Computer und Monitor mit der Netzspannung und schalten Sie alle Geräte ein.
• Startet Ihr Computer nicht korrekt, so schalten Sie ihn sofort wieder aus und kontrollieren Sie sämtliche
Einstellungen und Kabelverbindungen.
Vor dem erneuten Öffnen des Computers ist dieser von der Netzspannung zu trennen,
siehe oben! Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker!
• Windows erkennt nach dem vollständigen Hochfahren neue Hardware und schließt die Treiberinstallation
ab.
Tipps & Hinweise
• Über die mitgelieferte Software können die Tasten der IR-Fernbedienung programmiert werden. Dadurch
lassen sich alle Programme bedienen, die über die herkömmliche Computertastatur steuerbar sind.
Beispiel:
Bei der Software „Winamp" dient die Taste „X" auf der Tastatur zum Start des Abspielvorgangs („Play").
Wird die Taste „" (Funktion „Play") oben auf der IR-Fernbedienung mit „X" belegt, so kann darüber
ebenfalls der Abspielvorgang gestartet werden.
• Das Steuerkreuz in der Mitte der Fernbedienung dient als Maus-Ersatz. Hierdurch lässt sich der Cursor
auf dem Bildschirm steuern. Ebenso sind zwei Tasten auf der Fernbedienung vorgesehen als linke und
rechte Maustaste.
Ggf. ist vorher über die Taste „Mouse/Keyboard" in den richtigen Modus zu wechseln.
• Richten Sie die auf der Frontseite der Fernbedienung liegende IR-Diode immer möglichst direkt auf das
Display des Einschubs.
• In der Software ist weiterhin eine Art „Multimedia-Manager" integriert. Dieser ermöglicht über seine
großen Symbole und Schriften und die einfache Bedienung eine sehr komfortable Verwaltung bzw.
Steuerung und Auswahl der auf dem Computer vorhandenen Multimedia-Dateien.
• Beachten Sie für weitere Informationen die umfangreiche englischsprachige Bedienungsanleitung auf
der CD. Diese liegt im Format „PDF" vor. Zum Betrachten der Datei ist der kostenlose „Adobe Reader"
erforderlich, den Sie sich bei „www.adobe.de" bzw. „www.adobe.com" herunterladen können.
Entsorgung
a) Allgemein

Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden gesetzlichen
Vorschriften.
b) Batterien und Akkus
Sie als Endverbraucher sind gesetzlich (Batterieverordnung) zur Rückgabe aller gebrauchten Batterien und
Akkus verpflichtet; eine Entsorgung über den Hausmüll ist untersagt!
Schadstoffhaltige Batterien/Akkus sind mit nebenstehenden Symbolen gekennzeichnet, die

auf das Verbot der Entsorgung über den Hausmüll hinweisen.
Die Bezeichnungen für das ausschlaggebende Schwermetall sind: Cd=Cadmium,
Hg=Quecksilber, Pb=Blei (Bezeichnung steht auf Batterie/Akku z.B. unter den links abgebil-

deten Mülltonnen-Symbolen).
Ihre verbrauchten Batterien/Akkus können Sie unentgeltlich bei den Sammelstellen Ihrer
Gemeinde, unseren Filialen oder überall dort abgeben, wo Batterien/Akkus verkauft werden!
Sie erfüllen damit die gesetzlichen Verpflichtungen und leisten Ihren Beitrag zum Umweltschutz.

Prescribed Use
The product is designed to be installed into the 5.25" plug-in unit of a PC housing. It does not only serve to
display system data (time, Window's version etc) but there is also an integrated IR reception unit for the
remote control included in delivery. This makes it possible to control suitable programs wireless. The software
included in delivery does furthermore offer functions for the administration of multimedia files (pictures,
videos and music).

Instructions relevant to batteries and accumulators
• Keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Please observe correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the batteries.
• Do not let batteries/rechargeable batteries lie around openly. There is a risk of batteries being swallowed
by children or pets. In such a case, seek immediate medical care.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries might cause acid burns when getting into contact
with skin. Therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
• Batteries/ rechargeable batteries must never be short-circuited, taken apart or thrown into fire. Risk of
explosion!
• Conventional batteries must not be recharged. Risk of explosion!
Inserting Battery into Remote Control, Change of Battery
• Two batteries type micro (AAA) are necessary for the IR remote control.
• Open the battery compartment on the remote control and insert the batteries with the correct polarity (pay
attention to plus /+ and minus/-). There is a corresponding marking in the battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment.
• A change of battery is necessary when the IR range gets smaller or the plug-in unit and/or the software
no longer react to the remote control.
• Dispose of the battery with respect to environmental protection.
Driver and Software Installation

Install the software included in delivery before assembly.
Place the CD included in delivery in the corresponding drive of your computer. If the installation program does
not appear automatically, start the program "iMONSetup.exe" in the main directory of the CD. Follow all
instructions.
Once the installation is completed the operating system is to be shut down and the computer switched off.
Installation
When in doubt about how to install the device correctly, please contact an EXPERT or a
specialist workshop and let them carry out the installation!
Improper installation damages the plug-in unit as well as your computer and all connected
devices.
Attention! Lethal danger!
Switch off the computer in which the product is to be installed and all connected devices and
separate all devices from the mains voltage, pull the mains plug! Switching the device off via
the ON/OFF switch is not sufficient!

You can find an illustration for the precise cabling of the product in the operating instructions
on the CD.
• Open the housing of your computer and carefully take off the lid of the housing.
• Insert the ATX adapter between the ATX power connection of the mainboard and the ATX plug of the
computer plug-in power supply.
Pay attention to the correct connection, do not use any force.
• Look for a free 5.25" installation slot and remove the respective front cover.
There may be a metal shield behind it which needs to be removed. For some housings it can be screwed
off, for some it has to be carefully broken out.

• Connect the USB cable with the connection "CN4" on the slide-in unit.
• Connect the two-pole cable with the "CN2" connection. Guide it through the 5.25" installation slot. Pull the
two-pole plug from the mainboard which leads from the ATX power pushbutton to the mainboard and

connect it with the circuit board of the plug-in unit (2-pole pin contact strip "CN3"). The cable described

in the beginning is to be plugged into the two-pole contact of the mainboard (if necessary pay attention
to the instructions of the mainboard, connection is, eg called "PWR Button" or "ATX PWR BTN" or similar).
The polarity of these cables is irrelevant each time!
Doing this, the circuit board is now between the ATX button on the front of the computer housing and the
connection on the mainboard. This means that the computer can be switched on via the IR remote control
later.
• Guide the three-pole power connection cable from the previously connected ATX plug from the inside
through the 5.25" installation slot and connect it to the respective power connection "CN1" on the circuit
board of the plug-in unit.
• Carefully slide the plug-in unit with the cables into the computer housing and screw it tight.
• Either connect the USB cable to a "normal" USB socket or to a corresponding pin contact strip of the
mainboard.
If you want to use a USB pin contact strip of the mainboard, it is imperative that you have pay
attention to the correct connection. If not, the mainboard as well as the plug-in unit will get
destroyed, loss of guarantee/warrantee!
For the assignment of the pin contact strips of the mainboard, note the operating instruction
(USB signals: VCC/+5V=, D-, D+, GND; never swap!).
• Lay the cables in a way so that they cannot get into a fan of the PC, to fasten them use, eg cable fasteners.
• Close the computer case.
• Connect your computer and monitor with the mains voltage und switch on all devices.
• If your computer does not start correctly, switch it off immediately and check all settings and cable
connections.
Before you open the computer again, it needs to be separated from the mains voltage,
see above! Pull the mains plug!
• Once Windows has booted completely it recognizes the new hardware and completes the driver
installation.
Tips & Notes
• The buttons of the IR remote control can be programmed via the software included in delivery. Doing this,
all programs can be operated which can be controlled via the conventional computer keyboard.
Example:
For the software "Winamp" the "X" button on the keyboard is used to start playback ("Play"). If the button
"" (function "Play") is assigned "X" on the top of the IR remote control, playback can also be started that
way.
• The control cross in the middle of the remote control serves as mouse replacement. Through it the cursor
can be controlled on the screen. There are also two buttons provided on the remote control for the left and
right mouse button.
If necessary you have to change to the correct mode via the "Mouse/Keyboard" button.
• If possible always point the IR diode on the front of the remote control directly on the display of the slide-
in unit.
• There is furthermore a kind of "multimedia manager" integrated in the software. Because of its large
symbols and fonts and its easy handling this makes it very comfortable to administrate and/or control and
select the existing multimedia files on the computer.
• For further information, note the extensive operating instructions on the CD. It is in "PDF" format. To view
the file, you need the free "Adobe Reader" which you can download at "www.adobe.com".
Disposal
a) General information

At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
The user is legally obliged (battery regulation) to return used batteries and storage batteries. Do not dispose
of used batteries via the household rubbish!
Batteries/storage batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the following

symbols which point out that the disposal via the household rubbish is prohibited.
The designations for the respective hazardous heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury,
Pb=lead (name on battery/rechargeable battery, eg under the rubbish bin icons on the left).

You can return your exhausted batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge to any
authorized disposal station in your area, in our stores or in any other store where batteries/
rechargeable batteries are sold.
Thus, you comply with your legal obligations and make your contribution to environmental protection.
