Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Produkt ist zum Einbau in einen Computer vorgesehen. Es dient dort zur Kühlung einer 3.5"-Festplatte.
Alle enthaltenen Firmennamen und Produktbezeichnungen sind Warenzeichen der jeweiligen

Einbau
Falls Sie keine Fachkenntnisse für den Einbau besitzen, so lassen Sie den Einbau
von einer FACHKRAFT oder einer entsprechenden Fachwerkstatt durchführen!
Durch unsachgemäßen Einbau wird sowohl das Produkt als auch Ihr Computer und
alle angeschlossenen Geräte beschädigt.
Vorsicht, Lebensgefahr!
Schalten Sie den Computer, in den das Produkt eingebaut werden soll und alle
angeschlossenen Geräte aus und trennen Sie alle Geräte von der Netzspannung,
ziehen Sie den Netzstecker!
Das Ausschalten über den Ein-/Ausschalter genügt nicht!
• Öffnen Sie das Gehäuse Ihres Computers und nehmen Sie den Gehäusedeckel vorsichtig ab.
• Durch die Bauhöhe des Kühlkörpers und des Lüfters sind zwei übereinander liegende 5.25"-Einbau-
schächte erforderlich. Entfernen Sie die zugehörigen 5.25"-Blenden. Je nach Gehäuse müssen nun noch
die Metallabschirmungen entfernt werden. Bei manchen Gehäusen sind diese abschraubbar, manchmal
müssen sie vorsichtig herausgebrochen werden. Damit man an die Metallabschirmungen herankommt,
ist bei vielen Gehäusen die komplette Frontblende zu entfernen.
• Montieren Sie den großen Kühlkörper auf der Oberseite der 3.5"-Festplatte; die obere Fläche der
Festplatte muss auf dem Kühlkörper aufliegen.
• Danach ist der Lüfter mit dem Halterahmen auf der Unterseite der Festplatte (Elektronikplatine) zu
montieren.
• Setzen Sie nun die Kombination aus Festplatte und Kühlkörper in den 5.25"-Schacht ein und schrauben
Sie sie fest. Das mitgelieferte Erdungskabel muss zwischen Festplatte und Computergehäuse festge-
schraubt werden.
• Zur Stromversorgung des Lüfters gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten:
a) 3poliger Stecker mit Drehzahlausgang, mit einem entsprechenden Anschluss auf dem Mainboard
verbinden
b) 5.25"-Stromanschluss, mit Computernetzteil verbinden
Verwenden Sie nur einen der beiden Anschlüsse!
• Verlegen Sie die Kabel im Computer so, dass sie nicht in einen Lüfter gelangen können. Fixieren Sie die
Kabel mit Kabelbindern.
• Verschließen Sie das Computergehäuse.
• Verbinden Sie Ihren Computer und Monitor wieder mit der Netzspannung und schalten Sie alle Geräte
ein.
• Startet Ihr Computer nicht korrekt, so schalten Sie ihn sofort wieder aus und kontrollieren Sie sämtliche
Einstellungen und Kabelverbindungen.
Vor dem erneuten Öffnen des Computers ist dieser wieder von der Netzspannung zu
trennen, siehe oben!
Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden gesetzli-
chen Bestimmungen.

Prescribed use
The product is intended to be mounted in a computer. It is designed for cooling a 3.5" hard disk.

Features

Installation
• Open the housing of your computer and carefully take off the housing cover.
• Because of the height of the cooler and the fan, two superimposed slots 5.25" are necessary. Remove
the corresponding 5.25 covers. Depending on the housing, you might have to remove metal screens.
With some housings, the screens can be removed by loosening screws. For other housings, it has to be
carefully quarried out. To reach the metal screens, it is necessary for many types of housings, to remove
the front panel.
• Install the big cooler on the upper side of the 3.5" hard disk; the upper side of the hard disk must rest
on the cooler.
• Then install the fan with the support frames on the lower side of the hard disk (electronic circuit board).
• Now place the hard disk and the cooler in the 5.25" slot and screw them tightly. The earth cable must be
screwed firmly between hard disk and computer housing.
• There are two possibilities to supply the fan with power:
a) Connect a 3-pole plug with speed control output to a corresponding connection on the mainboard.
b) Connect a 5.25" power supply terminal with the computer mains unit
• Lay the cables in the computer in a way so that they cannot get into a fan. Fix the cables with cable
fasteners.
• Close the computer housing.
• Reconnect your computer and monitor with the mains voltage and switch on all devices.
• If your computer does not start correctly, switch it off immediately and check all settings and cable
connections.

or a specialist workshop and let them carry out the installation!
In case of improper installation, the product as well as your computer and all
connected devices will be damaged.
Attention! Danger of life!
Switch off the computer in which the product is to be installed and all connected
devices and separate all devices from the mains voltage. Unplug the mains plug!
Switching the device off via the ON/OFF switch is not enough!
Use one of the two connections only!
Before opening the computer again, it needs to be separated from the mains voltage;
see above!
Dispose of the unserviceable product according to the relevant statutory regulations!
