Regulations
For all ships the rules set forth in Annex 1 to the COLREG's - Position-
ing and Technical Details of Lights and Signalling Shapes - must be
adhered to. The technical data regarding horizontal and vertical position-
ing and spacing of the navigation and signalling lights laid down in these
mounting instructions do apply to all ships irrespective of their flag.
Mounting Instructions
The function of the navigation lights can only be assured and be in ac-
cordance with the regulations if the following points are adhered to:
For correct positioning of the navigation lights on board the COLREG's
have to be followed.
The navigation lights must be positioned on and above the keel line e.g.
parallel to it. Their horizontal symmetrical level (A) must be parallel to
the construction water line (CWL). The navigation lights have a direc-
tional arrow that runs parallel to the keel line in the direction of travel.
The light cannot be obstructed by parts of the boat or passengers. Their
position may not be changed while in use.
Mounting up side down is not allowed.
Important note for port and starboard lights

In case screens are used for the sidelights the front screen has to be
removed since it is not necessary and is obstructing the light output in
right ahead direction.

REGULATIONS FOR NAVIGATION LIGHTS TYPES TDH AND
TDH/SW 34 WITH AND WITHOUT "quicfits"
The regulations are permitting to use these lights only on sailing
boats <20m.
While under engine these lights are not permitted.

MOUNTING

The housing cap must be removed for assembly. Fasten the previously
cabled assembly mounting rear panel on the side of the ship with two
screws.
a) Horizontal spacing of assembly holes 50 mm.
b) The connection cable can be laid behind the rear panel.
c) Place the housing cap, lettering upwards, corresponding to the
"signal zero direction" (see marking), on the mounting rear panel.
Check that the cap is on firmly.
DEMOUNTING

For demounting the housing cap must be removed carefully with an
angled screwdriver first on the aft side and afterwards on the zero-
ahead side.
MOUNTING
Bicolor (TD)  (8)
Mounting can be carried out both as covering mounting, as well as
under-installation e.g. on the pulpit.
a) First remove the cable covering cap
b) Provide two fastening holes at a horizontal spacing of 49 mm. Ob-
serve the "signal zero direction" (see marking).
c) For correct alignment of the light, port (red) and starboard (green),
the printing must always point upwards.
d) Place rubber seal between mounting area and light.
e) Tighten fastening screws.
Tricolor "quicfits", comb. Tricolor / Anchor "quicfits",
Masthead "quicfits", comb. Masthead / Anchor "quicfits"
Remove light from "quicfits" base after loosening the lower locking ring.
Arrange electrical connection as described in the chapter ‚ELECTRICAL
INSTALLATION'. To simplify mounting use base to mark positions of
drilling holes. Pay attention to right ahead direction when mounting. Fix
the "quicfits" base with 3 screws dia. 5mm. The "quicfits" system allows
quick removal of the light i.e. to prevent theft or damage when mast is
down. The base remaining on the mast can be covered with the sup-
plied cap.

Turn the lights upper anticlockwise. To simplify mounting use base to
mark positions of holes (mounting holes and cable entry). Pay attention
to right ahead direction when mounting.

Vorschriften
Für alle Schiffe müssen die in Anhang 1 der COLREG's – Platzierung und
technische Details für Lichter und Signalkörper – eingehalten werden. Die
technischen Daten in Bezug auf die horizontale und vertikale Platzierung
und die Abstände der Navigations- und Signallichter, die in dieser Be-
triebsanleitung beschrieben sind, gelten für alle Schiffe, unabhängig von
ihrer Flagge.
Anbauanweisung
Die Funktion der Navigationsleuchten ist nur dann gesichert und den
Regeln entsprechend, wenn beim Anbau und der Wartung folgende
Punkte beachtet werden: Die korrekte Positionierung der Navigations-
leuchten an Bord ergibt sich aus den COLREG's. Die Navigationsleuchten
müssen in und über der Kiellinie bzw. parallel dazu angebracht werden.
Ihre horizontale Symmetrieebene (A) muss parallel zur Konstruktions-
wasserlinie (CWL) liegen. Auf den Navigationsleuchten ist dafür ein
Richtungspfeil angebracht, der parallel zur Kiellinie in Fahrtrichtung zeigt.
Der Lichtaustritt darf nicht durch Teile des Fahrzeuges oder durch an Bord
befindliche Gegenstände oder Personen verdeckt werden. Ihre Stellung
zum Fahrzeug darf sich während der Betriebsdauer nicht verändern.
Eine Montage über Kopf ist unzulässig.
Wichtiger Hinweis für Steuerbord und Backbordleuchten

Wenn am Fahrzeug noch alte Laternenbretter vorhanden sind, ist jeweils
der vordere Querholm zu entfernen. Dieser ist überflüssig und behindert
die erforderliche Ausstrahlung in Richtung "recht voraus".

VORSCHRIFTEN FÜR NAVIGATIONSLICHTER DER TYPEN TDH U.
TDH / SW 34 MIT UND OHNE "quicfits"
Die Vorschriften erlauben allen Segelfahrzeugen unter 20 m Länge
eine dieser Navigationslichter zu führen. Beim Fahren unter Motor
dürfen sie nicht benutzt werden.

MONTAGE
Seitenlicht Steuerbord (SSb), Backbord (SBb) und Heck (H)  (6)
Für die Montage ist die Gehäusekappe zu entfernen. Die vorverkabelte
Montagerückwand mit zwei Schrauben an der Bordwand befestigen.
a) Horizontaler Abstand der Montagelöcher 50 mm.
b) Das Anschlusskabel kann hinter der Rückwand verlegt werden.
c) Die Gehäusekappe, Beschriftung nach oben, entsprechend der
"Signal-Nullrichtung" (s. Markierung), auf die Montagerückwand auf-
setzen. Den festen Sitz der Kappe überprüfen.
DEMONTAGE
Seitenlicht Steuerbord (SSb), Backbord (SBb) und Heck (H)  (7)
Für die Demontage ist die Gehäusekappe mit einem Winkelschraubedre-
her zunächst auf der achterlichen Gehäuseseite und anschließend auf der
Nullvoraus Seite vorsichtig abzuhebeln.
MONTAGE
Doppelfarbige Seitenlichter (TD)  (8)
Die Anbringung kann sowohl als Deckmontage, als auch als Unteranbau
z. B. am Bugkorb erfolgen.
a) Zunächst die Kabelabdeckkappe demontieren
b) Zwei Befestigungslöcher im horizontalen Abstand von 49 mm vorse-
hen. Auf die "Signal-Nullrichtung" achten (s. Markierung).
c) Zur richtigen Ausrichtung der Leuchte, Backbord (rot) und Steuerbord
(grün) muss die Bedruckung stets nach oben weisen.
d) Gummidichtung zwischen Montagefläche und Leuchte legen.
e) Befestigungsschrauben festziehen.
Dreifarbiges Seglernavigationslicht mit "quicfits", komb. Dreifarbiges
Segler- / Signallicht mit "quicfits", Topplicht "quicfits",
kombiniertes Topp- / Signallicht mit "quicfits"
Zunächst das Gehäuse vom quicfits-Sockel abheben, nachdem der untere
Sicherungsring durch Linksdrehung gelöst wurde. E-Installation wie unter
"ELEKTRISCHER ANSCHLUSS" beschrieben vorbereiten. Zur leichteren
Montage sollte das Unterteil als Schablone für das Anbringen der Bohrlö-
cher verwendet werden. Dabei auf "Signal-Nullrichtung"
(s. Markierung). Der quicfits-Sockel ist mit 3 Schrauben Ø 5mm zu befes-
tigen. Das quicfits-System bietet den Vorteil, dass das Gehäuse ohne
Werkzeug vom Sockel gelöst werden kann, z.B. zur Vorbeugung gegen
Diebstahl, bei gelegtem Mast, im Winterlager etc.. Der am Mast verblei-
bende quicfits-Sockel wird mit der zum Lieferumfang gehörenden Kunst-
stoffkappe verschlossen.
Signallicht, dreifarb. Seglernavigationslicht, komb. Dreifarbiges
Segler- / Signallicht, Topplicht, komb. Topp- / Signallicht
Durch Drehen des Leuchtenoberteils gegen den Uhrzeigersinn die
Leuchte öffnen. Zur leichteren Montage sollte das Leuchtenunterteil als
Schablone für das Anbringen der Löcher (Befestigungslöcher und Kabel-
durchführung) verwendet werden. Dabei auf "Signal-Nullrichtung" achten
(s. Markierung). Kleinere Korrekturen der Leuchtenlage können durch die
Langlöcher vorgenommen werden.

Règlements
Pour les navires étrangers ANNEXE 1 - formes, position et détails tech-
nique des feux, les COLREG's doivent être appliqués.
Les caractéristiques techniques concernant la position horizontale et
verticale, ainsi que l'espacement des feux de navigation, décrites dans
nos instructions de montage, s'appliquent aux navire de toutes nationali-
tés.
Instructions de montage en général
La bonne fonction des feux de navigation et l'accord avec les règlements
peuvent seulement être assurer si les points suivants sont suivi.
Pour le positionement correct des feux à bord il faut suivre les
COLREG's.
Les feux doivent être montés sur ou en parallèle à la ligne de quille. Leur
plan horizontal (A) devra être parallèle à la ligne de flottaison (CWL).
Leur lumière ne doit être gênée par aucune partie du navire ou obstacle
ou des personnes. Leur position par rapport au navire ne devra pas être
changée pendant leur service.
Un montage inversé n'est pas autorisé.
Indication importante pour les feux de position latéraux bâbord et tribord

S'il existe à bord un écran pour chaque feu latéral, enlever la traverse sur
le devant, car il est de trop et empêche un rayonnement correct en
direction avant.

MONTAGE
Feux de position latéraux côté tribord (SSb), bâbord (SBb) et poupe
(H)  (6)
Il faut retirer le capuchon du corps pour le montage. Fixer la paroi arrière
de montage pré-câblée avec deux vis sur la paroi du bord.
a) Espacement horizontal des trous de montage : 50 mm.
b) Le câble de raccordement peut être placé derrière la paroi arrière.
c) Monter le capuchon du corps sur la paroi arrière, inscription vers le
haut, en suivant le « plan horizontal de symétrie » (voir le marquage).
Vérifier le bon positionnement du capuchon.
DÉMONTAGE

Pour démonter le couvercle du boîtier à un premier angle tournevis sur le
côté arrière de l'affaire et ensuite soulever doucement sur le côté de zéro
à venir.
MONTAGE
Feux de route bicolores (TD)  (8)
Le montage peut être effectué autant sur le pont que dans la partie
inférieure, p. ex. balcon de proue.
a) Démonter d'abord le capuchon du câble
b) Prévoir deux trous de fixation avec un espacement horizontal de 49
mm. Veiller au « plan horizontal de symétrie» (v. marquage).
c) Pour une bonne orientation de la lampe, bâbord (rouge) et tribord
(vert), l'impression doit toujours être dirigée vers le haut.
d) Poser le joint d'étanchéité en caoutchouc entre la surace de montage
et la lampe. Bien visser les. vis de fixation

Séparer le feu de la base "quicfits" après d'avoir desserré la collerette de
fixation en bas. Préparer l'installation électrique comme décrit sous la
rubrique «INSTALLATION ELECTRIQUE». Afin de faciliter le montage
achten on peut utiliser la base du feu comme gabarit de perçage pour la position
des trous. Faire attention au marquage direction en avant. Fixer la base
"quicfits" avec 3 vis dia. 5mm. Le système "quicfits" permet d'enlever le
feu de la base sans outils pour éviter par exemple le vol du feu pendant
le stockage d'hiver. La base restant au mât sera fermée avec le capu-
chon fourni.

Ouvrir le feu en tournant les lumières partie supérieure en sens inverse
des aiguilles de montre. Afin de faciliter le montage on peut utiliser la
base du feu comme gabarit de perçage pour la position des trous (les
trous de fixation et entrée de câble). Faire attention au marquage direc-
tion en avant.
