Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung

Der Schuh-Ionisator beseitigt bzw. verringert unangenehme Gerüche in Schuhen oder Bekleidung
durch Ionisation der Luft. Dabei werden gleichzeitig die Bakterien, welche für die Entstehung des
Geruchs verantwortlich sind, reduziert. Eine ca. 30-minütige Anwendung zwei bis dreimal die Woche
reicht in den meisten Fällen aus. Schon nach einigen Tagen werden Sie ein Nachlassen des
unangenehmen Geruchs feststellen.
Zur Spannungsversorgung können 4 x Babyzellen á 1,5 Volt oder beiliegendes Steckernetzgerät,
zum Anschluß an 230 Volt
Wechselspannung, verwendet werden. Eine Verwendung ist nur in geschlossenen, trockenen
Innenräumen, also nicht im Freien, erlaubt! Der Aufstellort muß so gewählt werden, daß das Gerät
vor Feuchtigkeit, starker Verschmutzung und zu starker Erwärmung geschützt ist!
Eine andere Verwendung als zuvor beschrieben, führt zur Beschädigung dieses Produktes, darüber
hinaus ist dies mit Gefahren, wie z. B. Kurzschluß, Brand, elektrischer Schlag, etc. verbunden. Die
Sicherheitshinweise und technischen Daten sind unbedingt zu beachten!
Sicherheitshinweise

Bei Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachten dieser Bedienungsanleitung verursacht
werden, erlischt der Garantieanspruch! Für Folgeschäden übernehmen wir
keine Haftung!
Bei Sach- oder Personenschäden, die durch unsachgemäße Handhabung oder
Nichtbeachten der Sicherheitshinweise verursacht werden übernehmen wir
keine Haftung! In solchen Fällen erlischt jeglicher Garantieanspruch!
Aus Sicherheits- und Zulassungsgründen (CE) ist das Öffnen des Gehäuses bzw. eigenmächtiges
Umbauen und/oder Verändern des Gerätes nicht gestattet.
Das Gerät gehört nicht in Kinderhände. Es handelt sich hierbei nicht um ein Kinderspielzeug!
Ziehen Sie bei Nichtbenutzung, bzw. vor jeder Reinigung, das Steckernetzgerät aus der Steckdose!
Zur Reinigung des Gehäuses empfiehlt sich ein trockenes, fusselfreies Tuch. Die Verwendung von
Reinigungsmitteln sollte unterbleiben!
Das Gerät darf nur mit beiliegendem Steckernetzgerät betrieben werden. Das Steckernetzgerät darf
nie mit nassen Händen ein- oder ausgesteckt werden. Ziehen Sie das Steckernetzgerät immer nur
am Gehäuse aus der Steckdose, nie an der Leitung.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur in gut belüfteten Räumen. Sollte dies nicht möglich sein, benutzen das
Gerät nicht in Anwesenheit von Personen oder Tieren. Lüften Sie den Raum nach dem Gebrauch des
Gerätes!
Das Gerät ist nicht für den gewerblichen Einsatz, sondern nur für den privaten Gebrauch geeignet.
Die Lüftungschlitze im Gehäuse des Gerätes dürfen nicht abgedeckt werden. Stecken Sie niemals
irgendwelche Gegenstände durch diese Öffnungen, es besteht die Gefahr eines elektrischen
Schlages!
Wenn das Gerät längere Zeit nicht verwendet wird, müssen die Batterien aus dem Batteriefach
entfernt werden, da diese auslaufen können. Darüber hinaus muß das Steckernetzgerät aus der
Netzsteckdose gezogen werden.
Inbetriebnahme mit Batterien

Öffnen Sie die beiden Batteriefächer links und rechts an der Oberseite des Gehäuses und legen Sie
jeweils zwei neue Babyzellen á 1,5 Volt polungsrichtig in das entsprechende Batteriefach. Schließen
Sie nun die beiden Batteriefächer wieder.
Batterien gehören nicht in Kinderhände!
Achten Sie beim Einlegen der Batterien auf die richtige Polung. Achten Sie
darauf, daß die Batterien nicht kurzgeschlossen, ins Feuer geworfen und
aufgeladen werden. In diesen Fällen besteht Explosionsgefahr!
Inbetriebnahme mit dem Steckernetzgerät

Anstatt mit Batterien können Sie dieses Gerät auch mit beiliegendem Steckernetzgerät (Eingang 230
Volt / 50 Hz, Ausgang 9 Volt DC / 200 mA) betreiben. Stecken Sie dazu den Klinkenstecker des
Steckernetzgerätes in die Buchse oben am Gehäuse (zwischen den Batteriefächern). Anschließend
stecken Sie das Steckernetzgerät in eine Netzsteckdose 230 Volt des öffentlichen Versorgungsnet-
zes.
Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes

Schalten Sie nun das Gerät mit dem Schiebeschalter ein (ON = EIN / OFF = AUS). Die beiden LED´s
leuchten grün und das Gerät
nimmt seine Tätigkeit auf. Nach den ersten 15 Minuten Betriebsdauer schaltet das Gerät automa-
tisch 5 Minuten lang ab und arbeitet dann im 3 Minuten-Takt weiter. Nach ca. 6 Stunden schaltet

das Gerät entgüldig ab. Um das Gerät wieder einzuschalten, schieben Sie den Schiebeschalter

zuerst in die Position „OFF" und dann in die Position „ON".
Legen Sie das Gerät in die Schuhe oder hängen Sie das Gerät einfach in den Kleiderschrank.
Sollte während des Betriebs ein Geräusch hörbar sein (elektrische Entladung), so ist dies auf die
Feuchtigkeit in den Schuhen bzw. Bekleidung zurückzuführen und ist kein Grund zur Beunruhigung.

Entsorgung

a) Allgemein
Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden
gesetzlichen Bestimmungen.
b) Entsorgung von Batterien und Akkus
Sie als Endverbraucher sind gesetzlich (Batterieverordnung) zur Rückgabe aller gebrauchten
Batterien und Akkus verpflichtet; eine Entsorgung über den Hausmüll ist untersagt!
Schadstoffhaltige Batterien/Akkus sind mit nebenstehenden Symbolen gekennzeich-
net, die auf das Verbot der Entsorgung über den Hausmüll hinweisen. Die Bezeichnun-
gen für das ausschlaggebende Schwermetall sind: Cd=Cadmium, Hg=Quecksilber,
Pb=Blei (Bezeichnung steht auf der Batterie/Akku z.B. unter den links abgebildeten
Mülltonnen-Symbolen).
Ihre verbrauchten Batterien/Akkus können Sie unentgeltlich bei den Sammelstellen
Ihrer Gemeinde, unseren Filialen oder überall dort abgeben, wo Batterien/Akkus
verkauft werden!
Sie erfüllen damit die gesetzlichen Verpflichtungen und leisten Ihren Beitrag zum Umweltschutz.

Prescribed Use

The shoe ioniser helps to get rid of or to decrease bad smells in shoes or clothes by ionising the air.
At the same time, the bacteria causing the smell are reduced. In most cases, a 30 minute application
twice or thrice a week is sufficient. Already after a few days of use you will notice a decrease in the
annoying smell.
As power supply, you can use 4 round cell batteries 1.5 Volt or the power adapter contained in the
delivery for connection to a 230 Volt alternating voltage. This product is only authorised for use
indoors, not outdoors! When selecting the installation location , make sure that the device is
protected from dampness, heavy contamination and extensive heating!
Any use other than one described above can damage this product, moreover, this involves dangers,
such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock etc. Always observe the safety instructions and the
technical data!
Safety Instructions

In the case of any damage which is caused due to the failure to observe these
operating instructions, the guarantee will be invalid! We do not assume
liability for resulting damages!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury, caused
by improper use or the failure to observe the safety instructions! The guarantee
is invalid in any such case!
The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible because of safety
and approval reasons (CE)!
Keep the unit out of reach of children. It is not a toy!
Pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet before cleaning the device or if it is not in use! To clean
the housing, use a dry and lint-free cloth. Do not clean the device with cleaning agents!
The device can only be used with the power adapter contained in the delivery! The power adapter
must not be plugged in or unplugged with a wet hand. Always unplug the adapter by pulling the
housing out of the socket; never pull on the cable.
Use the device in well ventilated areas only! If this is not possible, do not use this device in the
presence of persons or animals. Ventilate the room after using the device!
This device is not for industrial use but is intended for private use!
Never cover the ventilation slots of the device and never put objects into these slots. There is a
danger of life-threatening electric shock!
If you do not use the device for longer periods of time, batteries are to be removed from the battery
compartment! Unplug the power adapter from the power socket.
Operation with batteries

Open both battery compartments left and right at the top of the housing and place two new round
cell batteries 1.5V in each compartment observing the correct polarity! Close both battery
compartments again!
Keep batteries out of reach of children!
When inserting the batteries make sure to pay attention to the correct polarity!
Make sure that batteries are not shortcircuited, thrown into fire or recharged!
They might explode!
Operation with the power adapter

Instead of operating this device with batteries, you can also operate it using the power adapter
included in the delivery (input 230 Volt / 50 HZ, output 9 Volt DC / 200 mA). Insert the jack plug of
the power adapter in the socket at the top of the housing (between the battery compartments)! Now,
connect the power adapter to a 230 V power outlet of the public power supply system!

Operating the device

Switch the device on via the slide switch (ON / OFF)! The two LEDs light green, and the device is ready
for operation. After the first 15 minutes of operation, the device switches off automatically for a
period of 5 minutes then functions again in 3 minute intervals . After 6 hours of operation, the device
switches itself off completely. In order to switch on the device again, set the sliding switch to the

position „OFF" and then to the position „ON"!

Place the device in a shoe or simply hang it in the closet!
If during operation you perceive a noise (electric discharging) this is caused by dampness in the shoe
or the clothes and does not represent a problem.

Disposal

a) General information
Please dispose of the unserviceable device according to the current statutory
requirements.
b) Disposal of batteries and storage batteries
The user is leaglly obliged (battery regulation) to return all used batteries and storage batteries.
Do not dispose of used batteries via the domestic waste!
Batteries / storage batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the
following symbols which indicate that they are not allowed to be disposed of via the
domestic refuse. The designations for the respective hazardous metals are:
Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (marking can be seen on the battery/storage
battery e.g. underneath the refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
You can return your exhausted batteries/storage batteries free of charge to any
authorized disposal station in your area, in our stores or in any other store where
batteries/storage batteries are sold.
Thus, you comply with your legal obligations and make your contribution to environmental
protection.
