Operating Instructions
for 6500
Therma-Hygrometer
INSTRUMENT OPERATION - The instrument is switched
on by pressing the ON/OFF button. To obtain accurate
humidity measurements, allow the instrument to stabilize in
the environment for a minimum of one minute. To maximize
accuracy, allow airflow across the sensor.
HOLD - Press the HOLD button to freeze the display and stop
measurements, press again to continue measuring.
MAX/MIN - Press the MAX/MIN button to display the values.
The instrument retains the max/min values when switched off.
To reset, press the MAX/MIN button for three seconds, 'rst' will
be displayed.
MODE - Press the MODE button to change the display between
%rh, temperature and dew point measurements.
AUTO OFF - The instrument will switch off automatically after
10 minutes. To disable auto-off press the HOLD button while
switching on the instrument (this is reset when the instrument
is switched off).
°C/°F - The unit can be switched between °C and °F by pressing
the MODE button for three seconds.
ERROR MESSAGE - 'Err' will appear in the display
• If communication with the sensor has failed
• If the sensor is contaminated or wet
• If the instrument has developed a fault
SENSORS - Care must be taken not to contaminate the relative
humidity (%rh) sensor otherwise its accuracy can be reduced.
DO NOT submerge in water or any other substance.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT - The instrument will display 'LO
BAT' to warn that the batteries will need changing soon. The
instrument continues to measure accurately but after further
usage the instrument will display 'flat bat' and shutdown.
Replace the batteries with three AAA batteries located under
the rear cover that is held in place by a single screw.
FR - NOTICE D'UTILISATION - On allume l'instrument en
appuyant sur le bouton ON/OFF. Pour obtenir des mesures
précises de l'humidité, laissez l'instrument se stabiliser
dans l'environnement pendant une minute minimum. Pour
maximiser la précision, laissez passer l'air à travers le capteur.
MAINTIEN - Appuyez sur le bouton HOLD pour geler
l'affichage et arrêter les mesures.
MAXI/MINI - Appuyez sur le bouton MAX/MIN pour afficher
les valeurs. Pour remettre à zéro, maintenez le bouton
MAX/MIN enfoncé pendant trois secondes, 'rst' (remise
à zéro) sera affiché. L'instrument conserve les valeurs
maxi/mini quand on l'éteint.
MODE - Appuyez sur le bouton MODE pour changer l'affichage
entre les mesures de % d'humidité relative, de température et
de point de rosée.
EXTINCTION AUTOMATIQUE - L'instrument s'éteindra
automatiquement après 10 minutes. Pour désactiver
l'extinction automatique, enfoncez le bouton HOLD tout en
allumant l'instrument (la réactivation a lieu lorsque l'on éteint
l'instrument).
ºC/ºF - On peut faire passer l'instrument de ºC à ºF et de ºF
à ºC en maintenant le bouton MODE enfoncé pendant trois
secondes.
MESSAGE D'ERREUR - 'Err' apparaîtra dans l'affichage si:
• La communication avec le capteur a échoué
• Le capteur est contaminé ou mouillé
• L'instrument a développé un défaut
CAPTEURS - Il faut veiller à ne pas contaminer le capteur
d'humidité relative (%hr), sinon sa précision peut s'en trouver
réduite. N'immergez pas dans l'eau ou toute autre substance.
REMPLACEMENT DES PILES - L'instrument affichera LO BAT
(piles faibles) pour avertir que les piles auront besoin d'être
changées bientôt. L'instrument continue de mesurer avec
précision mais, après avoir encore été utilisé, l'instrument
affichera « flat bat » (piles à plat) et s'éteindra. Remplacez les
piles par trois piles AAA situées sous le couvercle arrière qui
est maintenu en place par une seule vis.
DE - BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG - Das Instrument wird

und Minimalwerte anzuzeigen. Um die Maximal- und
Minimalwerte zurückzusetzen, halten Sie die MAX/MIN-Taste
drei Sekunden lang gedrückt; es wird 'rst' (für Reset)
angezeigt. Das Instrument behält die Max/Min-Werte bei,
wenn es abgeschaltet wird.
MODE (BETRIEBSART) - Drücken Sie die MODE-Taste,
um die Anzeige zwischen %rh (relative Luftfeuchtigkeit in
%), Temperatur und Taupunktmessung umzuschalten. Bitte
beachten.
AUTOMATISCHE ABSCHALTUNG - Das Instrument schaltet
sich nach 10 Minuten automatisch ab. Um die automatische
Abschaltung zu deaktivieren, halten Sie die HOLD-Taste beim
Umschalten des Instruments gedrückt (Die Deaktivierung wird
beim Abschalten des Instruments wieder zurückgesetzt).
°C/°F - Das Instrument kann zwischen °C und °F umgeschaltet
werden, indem Sie die MODE-Taste drei Sekunden lang
gedrückt halten.
FEHLERMELDUNG - Auf dem Display wird in den folgenden
Situationen 'Err' angezeigt:
• die Kommunikation mit der Messsonde ist nicht möglich
• der Sensor ist verschmutzt oder nass
• das Instrument weist einen Fehler auf
SENSOREN - Es muss besonders darauf geachtet werden,
die Sensoren für die relative Luftfeuchtigkeit (%rh) nicht zu
verschmutzen, da ansonsten die Genauigkeit beeinträchtigt
werden kann. Tauchen Sie die Sensoren nicht in Wasser oder
andere Substanzen ein.
BATTERIEWECHSEL - Das Instrument zeigt 'LO BAT' an, um
darauf hinzuweisen, dass die Batterien in Kürze ausgetauscht
werden müssen. Das Instrument setzt die korrekte
Temperaturmessung fort, aber nach weiterer Benutzung zeigt
das Instrument 'flat bat' an und schaltet sich ab. Tauschen Sie
die Batterien durch drei AAA-Batterien aus. Die Batterien
befinden sich unter der hinteren Abdeckung, die durch eine
Schraube festgehalten wird.
