To fold them down, just release the front and rear locks as shown in the picture

To retrieve a spare wheel, pull out the pin from the socket housing as shown in the picture:
11. Loading Ramps and Wheel Stoppers
• The two loading ramps are stowed in the middle of the loading bed and can be removed after
the rear clamp is loosened.
• Mount the ramps by slipping the joint bolts into the holes at the rear end of the loading bed.
• Push your race car model up the loading ramps until it stands squarely on the rails.
