a) Assembly
Version 11/12
Place the wheel on the supporting stand. Press and hold the lock knob and push the fi xture
of the supporting stand at bottom into the slot of the wheel until the wheel clicks in place. Pay
attention to the correct orientation; see imprint on the square retaining plate on the supporting
stand.
You can set how easily the steering wheel can be moved by slightly loosening or tightening the
orange retaining ring.
b) Inserting or removing the table computer
• Press the locking lever on the side. The integrated spring causes the two wide clamping
holders to snap out to the maximum height.
• The height of the fastening clamp in the clamping holder can be adjusted to the tablet com-
puter used by means of the two round screw knobs.
First move the screw knobs entirely to the left turning them anticlockwise so that the fastening
clamps are fully opened.
• Insert the table computer so that it is located in the middle of the steering wheel and push the
clamping holders together. An internal detent prevents the clamping holders from coming off
by themselves.
• In a fi nal step turn the two screw heads in clockwise direction until the tablet computer is
securely fastened by the fastening clamps. However, do not use any force.
c) Power supply
If you want to operate the product with batteries, open the battery compartment on the bottom
and insert 4 batteries, type AA/Mignon, paying attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and
minus/-). Close the battery compartment again. Move the sliding switch on the back side to the
corresponding position (push in direction of battery symbol).
• For operation via an external power supply the sliding switch on the back side has to be
moved to the corresponding position (push in direction of USB symbol). Use the USB-Y cable
provided for this. The external power supply (e. g. a USB power supply unit) must provide a
current of at least 1 A.
d) Mounting location
• Place the device on a level, stable and smooth surface. Protect valuable furniture surfaces by
using a suitable mat to prevent scratches or pressure points.
• During operation place the product in a safe way that secures it from falling. Place it so that
the keys at the bottom in the supporting stand are facing you.
e) Switching on/off
• Briefl y press the " " button to switch the product on.
• Turn off the product by pressing the " " button for 2 seconds, until the upper power LED
goes out.
f) Pairing
• First turn the steering wheel on (briefl y press the " " button). Now the blue "BT" LED should
fl ash.
• Activate the Bluetooth function of your tablet computer (in an iPad this function can be found
in the "Settings" menu under "General").
• Wait until the tablet computer has recognised the wheel (e.g. "Cideko Racer") and then select
this device.
Observe the illustrations in the manufacturer's operating instructions.
To remove the tablet computer, loosen the fastening clamps again, turn the two
screw heads anticlockwise.
Hold the tablet computer to prevent it from falling out.
Afterwards, press the locking lever on the side so that the clamping holders are
unfastened. Pull out the tablet computer from the steering wheel.
During operation, the power LED will start to fl ash if the battery voltage drops
(< 4.0 V). If the battery voltage is too low, the product switches off automatically.
If you want to use a PC or a USB hub with separate power supply unit to provide
the current, you have to use both USB-A plugs of the USB-Y cable enclosed. Thus,
the current is added up by 500 mA per USB port (500 mA + 500 mA = 1 A) and the
operation of the product is ensured.
Should you be prompted to enter a password or Pin Code, enter "0000" (four times
the fi gure "0").
