PREPARATION

• Clean the device prior to its first use (see chapter „Cleaning" on
page 24)!
6.

USING THE HAND BLENDER

DANGER! Risk of injury from cutting!
• Never reach into the rotating blades. Do not touch rotating parts with
spoons or similar utensils. Keep long hair or loose clothing away from
rotating parts as well.
• Only switch on the device when the blender is immersed in the foodstuff.
• The blade continues to rotate after the device is switched off. Wait until it
has stopped before you take the hand blender out of the food.
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
• The device is designed for a maximum operating time of 1 minute with-
out interruption.
• In order to prevent damage to the device, interrupt the blending process
immediately if the blade is either turning with difficulty or not turning at
all. Pull out the mains plug and check whether there is something in the
bowl blocking movement or whether the food is too tough. Also check
whether the device is assembled correctly.
• Do not use the blender for extremely hard food such as ice cubes, nuts
or the like.
The hand blender is suitable for pureeing cooked fruits and vegetables,
soups, dips and sauces, as well as blending drinks and making milkshakes.
NOTES:
• Adapt the rotation speed to suit the foodstuff to be blended. Select but-
ton I for soft foodstuffs and button II for harder foodstuffs.
• If the blender builds up a suction and adheres to the bottom of the ves-
sel, let go of the button I or II briefly.
• If you use the included measuring beaker, only fill it up to a maximum of
650 ml.
1. Cut the cooked fruit and vegetables into small pieces.
2. Put the food into a suitable container.
3. Place the blender on the motor unit.
4. Turn the hand blender clockwise until you feel it lock into place.
5. Immerse the blender into the food to be pureed/mixed.
