Intended Use

The article is suitable for use as a torch and has a zoom func-
tion as well as fi ve different modes (25%, 50%, 100%, Flash,
SOS).

The article is not a toy!

The article is designed for personal use only and is not intend-
ed for commercial applications.

The article should only be used as described in these instruc-
tions. Any other use is deemed to be improper. Store the in-
structions in a safe place.
•
The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects caused
by improper handling, damage or unauthorised attempts at re-
pair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.
Safety Instructions

Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away
from children and animals.
■
Risk of dazzling! Never look directly into the light beam! Never
aim the light beam directly at other people or animals.
■
Batteries can be deadly if swallowed. Therefore keep batteries
and the article out of the reach of children and animals. If a bat-
tery is swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately.
■
Children must be supervised in order to ensure that they do not
play with the article.
■
Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts on
the article and on the batteries are clean, and clean them if
necessary.
■
Use only the battery type specifi ed in the technical data.
■
Always replace all batteries together. Do not use batteries of
different types or brands, or batteries with different capacities.
When replacing batteries, ensure the correct polarity (+ / –).
■
Remove the batteries when they are dead or if you will not be
using the article for a prolonged period. This will prevent any
damage if a battery leaks.
■
If a battery has leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and mu-
cous membranes to come into contact with the battery acid. If
you touch battery acid, rinse the affected sites with abundant
fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as pos-
sible.
■
Remove a dead battery immediately and clean the contacts be-
fore you insert new batteries.
■
The batteries must not be recharged or reactivated by other
means, dismantled, thrown into a fi re, immersed in fl uids, or
short-circuited.
■
Protect the article from heat, naked fl ames, extreme tempera-
tures, persistent moisture, wet conditions and collisions.

Inserting / Changing Batteries
1. Unscrew the battery compartment cover (5) anticlockwise and
remove it.
2. Remove the battery holder (6), take out dead batteries if neces-
sary and insert new batteries into the holder. When inserting
batteries, ensure the correct polarity (+ / –).
3. Insert the battery holder (6) into the torch. Here too you should
ensure the correct polarity (in the direction of the arrow).
4. Put the battery compartment cover (5) back on and screw it
clockwise to secure it in place.
Use
1. Firmly press the On / Off button (4) to switch on the article.
2. To use the zoom function, pull the lamp head (2) out forwards
or retract it backwards.
3. To switch to the different modes, lightly press the On / Off but-
ton (4). The modes can be selected in the following order:

Disposal
The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pack-
aging in an environmentally friendly manner and take it to a
recycling centre.
Dispose of the article in an environmentally friendly man-
ner at a recycling centre for used electrical and electronic
devices. It should not be disposed of in the normal house-
hold waste. More information is available from your local
authorities.
The batteries should be removed prior to disposal of the
article and disposed of separately. To protect the environ-
ment, non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries must
not be disposed of with normal household waste, but must
be taken to suitable collection points. Also note the relevant
statutory regulations governing the disposal of batteries.
