ENG
BEFORE USE
• Remove the cooking container and the lid from the rice cooker and wash them in hot
water with detergent. Rinse thoroughly and then dry with a soft, clean towel.
• Before using, check that the voltage of the electrical outlet is the same as specified on
the rice cooker's nameplate.
• The rice cooker must not be connected to power if the cooking container is not in the
cooking unit or if the rice cooker is not in use.
• Put the cooking container in the cooking unit and turn it slightly to the right and left.
• Do not press too hard on the on/off switch if it is difficult to press. The switch may be
hard to press when the cooking container is in the heating unit or after cooking is done.
• The cover must be on during cooking. Leave the cover on after cooking so that the rice
does not dry out or become discoloured.
MAINTENANCE
• Clean the cooking unit with a clean damp cloth or sponge and a mild detergent. Do not
use any abrasive detergents. No part of the cooking unit may be immersed in water or
any other liquid.
• Clean the heating plate and temperature control plate with steel wool and then wipe with
a damp cloth. Let these parts dry completely before using the rice cooker. These parts
must always be clean, otherwise the rice cooker will not work as it should.
• Unpleasant odours may occur if the rice cooker is not cleaned properly.
• Residual vinegar or salt may cause rust.
• Make sure that the rice cooker works properly – keep the cooking container and heating
plate clean.
