1. Introduction
The hygro thermometer HEYLO HTM 300 is used to
determine indoor climate date, such as relative humidity
and air temperature. The unit uses the measurement
results to calculate the dew point and wet bulb
temperature (wbt) values.
2. Properties
Relative air humidity (percent rH )
Air temperature deg. C (deg. F)
Temperature of dew point deg. C (deg. F)
Wet bulb temperature wbt deg. C (deg. F)
Quick response time (percent rh: 10 s)
High resolution 0.01 percent rh, deg. F; 0.01 ℃
High accuracy
Min. / max. function
Hold function
Dual display for temperature and air humidity
Automatic shutdown
Backlight
3. Safety guidelines
In case of damage which has been caused by the
non-observation of the operating manual, the
warranty / guarantee expires ! We shall not assume
any liability for consequential damage ! In case of
personal injury or material damage which have been
caused by in correct handling or non-observation of
the safety instructions, we shall not assume any
liability. In such cases the warranty / guarantee
expires. Personal safety: The product is no toy and
should be kept away from children !
4. Product safety
The product must not be subjected to strong mechanical pressure.
The product must not be subjected to any extreme temperatures,
direct sunlight, strong vibrations or moisture. If no safe operation is
possible any more, shut the device down and protect it against
unintentional use. The safe operation is no longer ensured when
the device has visible damage, no longer operates correctly, has
been stored under unfavourable ambient conditions for a longer
period or has been subjected to considerable transport load.

7.
Battery compartment
6. Placing the battery
The hygro thermometer is operated on a 9V battery.
1. Open the cover of the battery compartment (7) on the rear side
of the unit by using a screw-driver.
2. When placing the battery, observe the correct polarity, and
close the cover of the battery compartment by using a screw-
driver.
3.
Replace the battery, when the display for low battery
lights up on the LCD.
7. Operation
General information before you start with the measurement
Do not store the unit in the vehicle in extreme weather
conditions.
When a device is taken from a cold into a warm surroundings,
condensed water may develop in the water. This may lead to
wrong measuring results.
If the unit is stored in hot surroundings and is used in cold
rooms subsequently, the displayed values may be distorted.
In case of temperature variations, let the device rest for a
while prior to operation until it has adjusted to the new ambient
air.
Avoid draft air in the room to be measured, and prevent
breathing air touching the sensor.
Carrying out the measurement
Hold the probe into the area to be measured. Measure in the
centre of the room at approx. 150 cm in height. Switch the
measuring device on by pressing the ON/OFF button (5).
Press the selector switch for the measuring unit (4) until the
requested unit is displayed in the LCD (2).
Take some time for the measurement, and wait until the value
displayed has stabilised.
Read the relative humidity percent rh, air temperature, dew
point temperature and the wet bulb temperature wbt.
By pressing the hold button (6), the value measured last is
retained in the display. If you press this button for longer than
2 seconds, the backlight is switched on or off.
The min. / max. button will indicate the respectively highest
and lowest value measured.
In case of continuous measurement in extremely cold or wet
surroundings for 48 hours, the unit should be stored in warmer
surroundings for at least 12 hours to regenerate the humidity
sensor
The assessment of the measuring result and the
resulting measures are the personal responsibility
of the user.
8. Servicing / calibration
When required, clean the unit with a soft, moist and lint-free cloth. Do
not let any moisture get into the housing. Do not use any sprays,
solutions or detergents which contain alcohol or scouring agents. Use
clean water only to moisten the cloth.
Humidity sensors are subject to natural wear caused by gases,
aggressive atmospheres, etcetera. For this reason, the measuring
device should be calibrated regularly (annually) in the sense of quality
assurance. Please contact our customer service in this respect.
