DMS 6410 MICROPHONE CONSOLE SET TO "DELEGATE"

Every delegate is affected by the limitation of the max. number of open microphones (from 1 to 6, if
this function has been set in the MIC MODE SET/UP parameter of the MODE menu).
If this limit is reached, it will not be possible to activate a further delegate console.
If the MIC MODE SET/UP parameter is set to "1 MIC ACT+O/RIDE", only 1 microphone will be open
at a time and also overridden by the next delegate who turns its console on.
The console cannot be activated (and its microphone cannot be open) if:
• A chairman is resetting all consoles (

• All delegate consoles have been disabled (by setting the central unit MIC MODE SET/UP para-
meter).
A long button
• : the microphone gets open, the red LED and the light-ring get lit.
The microphone activation is either momentary when the button is pressed and hold ("push to
talk" mode) or stable if the button is pressed once for an instant ("toggle" mode). When released
(in "push to talk" mode) or pressed again (in "toggle" mode), the red LED, the microphone and
its light-ring turn off. If the max. number of open microphones is reached, any attempt to turn the
console on will cause:
a)
If there is no booking (RESERVATION NEXT parameter: OFF), the red LED will flash for 3 secon ds.
b)
If the booking is accepted (up to 10 delegates; RESERVATION NEXT parameter: NEXT + n;
NEXT), the green LED will lit (note: another button press will cancel the booking).
The red LED flashes for 3 seconds also when the max. number of bookings has already been
reached.
If the microphone has already been activated in "toggle" mode, it is still possible to change to the
"push to talk" mode by pressing and holding the A button.

• : it momentary mutes the microphone (if this has been previously opened by
using the A long button in "toggle" mode) and the red LED starts flashing. Another press cancels
