ASSEMBLE THE INSTRUMENT
1. There are rubber washers between the lower rod and the loop.
2. Insert the lower rod into one end of the middle rod so that the spring clip button lines up and locks
into one of the holes. Then, insert the other end of the middle rod into the curved „S" rod so that
the spring clip button lines up and locks into the hole of the middle rod.
3. Unspool the loop cable and wind it around the rod assembly. Plug the loop connector into the control
box and fix the screw.
4. Install the batteries as described in the next section.

POWER SUPPLY

Installing the batteries
· The battery case is in the control box and contains 8 x AA Alkaline batteries.
· Under normal searching conditions the operating time per battery set is about 30 h.
· Once the batteries become weak the beep indicating a metal target will be weaker. Shortly after, the
instrument will no longer react on metal targets.
· Open the control box by loosening the two screws and pulling down the latch. Remove the battery
case from the box.
· Slide the battery case cover from the battery case with soft pressure.
· Remove any old batteries and insert new AA batteries (ensure correct polarity).
· Close the battery case; the cover must snap safely.
· Insert the battery case into the control box; the metal contacts must point towards the inside of the
box.
· Fix the latch of the control box with the two screws.
