Cleaning
WARNING:
Always pull out the plug from the mains socket before
cleaning and wait until the unit has cooled down.
Never immerse the device or the base in water or other
liquids.
CAUTION:
Do not use any wire brush or other abrasive objects.
Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
Water Container
Rinse the water container out with clean water. Then dry it off
with a cloth.
Exterior of the Housing
Clean the housing after use with a slightly damp cloth.
Permanent Filter
There is a permanent filter in the spout. In order to clean the
filter, pull it out with the lid open. Rinse out the filter with running
water. Reinsert it, taking note of the guide mechanism.
Decalcification
The frequency of the decalcifying operation depends on the
hardness of the water and on how often the appliance is
used.
If the machine switches off before the water boils, it probably
needs to be decalcified.
Please do not use vinegar but a commercially available
decalcification agent on the basis of citric acid. Only use the
quantities stated in the instructions.
NOTE:
After descaling the device boil fresh water in it several times
(approximately 3-4 times) in order to remove any residues. Do
not consume this water.
