S-VIDEO DISTRIBUTION AMPLIFIER 1:4
The S-Video distribution amplifier LVH-1 amplifies and distributes one S-Video signal to four
outputs. Video inputs and outputs are made on the front panel via mini DIN-4 jacks. The gain
for each video component is independently adjustable from 0 dB to +6 dB. Power
connections are made using either the block terminals or a DC power jack. A second DC
power jack is provided for powering an additional LVH-1 and daisy-chaining multiple
modules.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Before your initial start-up, please make sure that there are no transport damages. Should
there be any, do not take the device into operation and immediately consult your dealer.
• Operate the device only after having familiarized with its functions. Do not permit operation
by persons not qualified for operating the device.
• Protect the device against humidity and heat. Keep away from heaters and other
heating sources!
• We recommend a frequent cleaning of the device. Disconnect from mains first. Use
a soft lint-free and moistened cloth. Never use alcohol or solvents!
• There are no serviceable parts inside the device. Maintenance and service operations are
only to be carried out by authorized dealers.
• Damage, caused by manual modifications on the device are not subject to warranty. If the
device is used for other purposes than originally intended or if it is not correctly connected,
the product may suffer damages and the guarantee becomes void.
• This product is allowed to be operated with 12-24 V DC. This device falls under protection
class 3 and was designed for indoor use only.

OPERATION
Prior to connecting switch off all units and do not turn them on again until you have made all
necessary connections.
1 Mount the distributor to a suitable place, if required.
2 Connect the signal source (e.g. camera) via cable with mini DIN-4 plugs to the jack INPUT.
3 Connect each unit to which the video signal is to be distributed (e.g. monitor, recorder) via
a cable with mini DIN-4 plugs to the jacks OUTPUT 1-4. Unused outputs need not to be
terminated.
4 The gain for each video component is independently adjustable from 0 dB to +6 dB. The
basic setting of the potentiometers is fully counterclockwise for unity gain. If necessary, a
more precise adjustment of both S-Video components can be made with appropriate
instrumentation available.
5 To power the unit 12-24 V DC are required. Either connect a power supply unit to the jack
INPUT DC 12-24V or connect another power source (e.g. battery) to the terminals INPUT.
Always observe the correct polarity. Connect the marked core to the contact "+".
6 An additional LVH-1 may be connected to the jack PWR BUS OUT and supplied with
power.
