Advice
1.1 Scope of supply
Please check if complete before assembly:
1 Geniol fireplace (1)
1 furnace chamber (2)
1 furnace lid (3)
1 extinguishing cap (4)
Should any contents be faulty or missing please contact your dealer or the manu-
facturer's service department.
1.2 Important safety information
If the following safety precautions are met, the Geniol fireplace may be used
indoors and out:
– Only use fuel gel which is suitable for indoor use. Heinze offer an appropriate
high quality fuel gel consisting of bio alcohol. (Heinze item 20500, see parts.
accesssories)
– Ensure sufficient air circulation. Keep a window open when using the fireplace
indoors.
– Always make sure the fireplace stands on a level, fireproof surface.
– Keep a sufficient safety distance (min 1m) from inflammable objects and materials.
– Keep out of reach of children and animals .
– Always fill the fuel into the appropriate furnace chamber, never into the outer
container.

1.2 Important safety information
– Use a fireplace lighter or long matches to light.
– Never refill when burning.
– Do not touch the glass or metal parts when in use or shortly thereafter.
– Do not lean over the glass cylinder when in use.
– Always allow sufficient time to cool off before handling.

Putting into operation
2.1 Assembly
Fit the furnace chamber in the steel container and add the furnace lid.
Place the fireplace on a level, fireproof surface. Keep at least 1 m safety distance
from inflammable objects. If you are using the fireplace indoors please ensure
sufficient air circulation e.g. by opening a window.
2.2 Filling
Remove the furnace lid and the furnace chamber from its container. Fill the furnace
chamber with approx. 500 ml of fire gel leaving a gap of 10 mm to the brim.
Heinze offer a quality fire gel made of pure bio alcohol (Heinze item 20500, see
parts . accessories). Place the furnace chamber back in the container using the
appropriate fittings and cover the container by replacing the lid. Depending on the
gel reservoir (e.g. bottle or can) the furnace chamber may be refilled through the
holes without removing the lid.

2.3 Lighting
Light the fuel with a fire lighter or a long match. Make sure you don't get too
close to the flame when bending over the glass. Never drop matches into the
furnace chamber.
2.4 Refilling the furnace chamber
Never refill when in use. Always wait until the flames are extinct. The furnace
chamber may be refilled through the holes without removing the lid. In this case
the metal parts need not previously cool off. However should you wish to remove
the lid or the furnace chamber please allow sufficient time for cooling. Then lift
the lid off, remove the furnace chamber, refill it with fuel for indoor use leaving a
10 mm gap to the brim. Assemble the parts as described above and close the
container by replacing the lid.
2.5 Extinguishing the fire
Use the provided cap to extinguish the flames. Please allow sufficient time to cool
before touching the glass cylinder or any metal parts. To maintain a neat flame
the furnace chamber should be cleaned of fuel stains with soap suds after each
use.
2.6 Important!
Please note that when using Heinze fire gel you may notice an increase in the
natural smell shortly before the fuel paste burns out. If need be avoid this by
extinguishing the flames with the provided cap before the fuel paste burns out.
