1. Grundsätzlicher Hinweis zu dieser Anleitung
Vor Inbetriebnahme von tapHOME Komponenten lesen Sie bitte diese Bedienungsanleitung vollständig und sorgfältig durch. Bewahren Sie die
Anleitung auf und geben Sie diese bei Weitergabe Ihrer Geräte ebenfalls weiter.
2. Gefahrenhinweise
Das Öffnen der Geräte ist ausschließlich autorisierten Fachkräften vorbehalten, birgt die Gefahr eines Stromschlages und ist für den Anwender
nicht notwendig, da keine zu wartenden Komponenten enthalten sind. Die Geräte sind für den ausschließlichen Betrieb am 230V/50Hz-Wech-
selspannungsnetz und nur in Innenräumen zulässig. Die Geräte sind für den Dauerbetrieb ausgelegt, besitzen keine eigene Trennvorrichtung und
sind nur ausgesteckt stromfrei. Achten Sie daher darauf, dass die Geräte stets leicht zugänglich sind. Das EASYGate ist ausschließlich mit dem
mitgelieferten Netzadapter zu betreiben. Stecken Sie das EASYPlug bzw. EASYPlugDim nicht ineinander. Schützen Sie alle Geräte grundsätzlich
vor Feuchtigkeit, Staub, Sonnen- und sonstigen Wärmebestrahlungen.
WICHTIG: Bitte beachten Sie immer die maximalen Lasten wie folgt:
EASYPlug:
3.000W (1.500W für induktive Lasten)
EASYPlugDim:
500W (300W für elektronische Trafos und dimmbaren LEDs)
Die zulässigen Anschlusslasten für das EASYPlugDim sind ausschließlich: konventionelle Glühlampen, Hochvolt-Halogenlampen,
NV-Halogenlampen mit elektronischen Trafos und dimmbare LEDs.
Der Anschluss von zu großen und/oder nicht geeigneten Lasten kann zur Zerstörung der Geräte und damit zum Ausschluss von der Garantie
führen. Nicht Beachtung kann darüber hinaus zu Unfällen und Bränden führen.
3. Allgemeine tapHOME-Systeminformationen
Diese Geräte sind Teil des tapHOME-Hausautomatisierungssystem und nutzten ein spezielles für diese Zwecke entwickeltes Funkprotokoll na-
mens Z-Wave
®
. Z-Wave
®
bietet u.a., neben einer generellen herstellerunabhängigen Kompatibilität, folgende wesentlichen Merkmale:
Bidirektionale Kommunikation: ein an ein Gerät gesandter Schaltbefehl wird vom empfangenden Gerät quittiert.
Mesh-Networking: Einzelne Z-Wave
®
Geräte dienen als sogenannte Repeater (Relaisstationen). Ein Schaltbefehl zu einem zu weit entfernten oder
schwer erreichbaren Gerät, wird hierbei von bis zu 4 weiteren Geräten weitergeleitet. Das EASYGate sorgt hierbei dafür den besten Weg zu den
zu steuernden Geräten zu finden und verwaltet gleichzeitig die sogenannte Routingtabelle.
Die Kombination dieser Merkmale ergibt eine sichere, stabile und zuverlässige Kommunikation zwischen den Geräten. Die Konfiguration des Sys-
tems wird ausschließlich mit der tapHOME-App vorgenommen, die im Zusammenspiel mit dem am Router/Switch/Accesspoint angeschlossenen
EASYGate alle Funktionen und Operationen ausführt. Den Umfang der ausbaubaren tapHOME-App entnehmen Sie bitte den Anleitungen unter
www.taphome.eu.
4. Allgemeine Hinweise zum Funkbetrieb
Z-Wave
®
nutzt für die Funkübertragung von Schaltbefehlen die Funkfrequenz von 868,42Mhz. Da diese Funkfrequenz auch von anderen Syste-
men und Geräten genutzt werden kann, können Störungen im Betrieb trotz Z-Wave
Ebenso können Elektromotoren, defekte Elektrogeräte etc. die Übertragung von Funksignalen stören. Durch bauliche Gegebenheiten (z.B.
Stahlbetondecken oder –wände) oder andere Umwelteinflüsse (z.B. Luftfeuchtigkeit) kann die Reichweite zwischen zwei Geräten von 30m in
Gebäuden bzw. 100m im freien Feld deutlich reduziert werden. Durch die Z-Wave
eine praxisorientierte Lösung zur Erhöhung der Reichweite an. Hiermit erklärt EUROiSTYLE GmbH, dass sich die Geräte EASYGate, EASYPlug und
EASYPlugDim in Übereinstimmung mit den grundlegenden Anforderungen und den übrigen einschlägigen Bestimmungen der Richtlinie 1999/5/
EG befinden". Die Konformitätserklärungen stehen unter www.tapHOME.eu zur Verfügung.
5. Grundsätzliche Funktion der Geräte
EASYGate: Dieses Gerät fungiert verbunden mit Ihrem Router/Switch/Accesspoint als Brücke zwischen dem WLAN System (Ihrem Mobile Gerät)
und dem Z-Wave
®
Funkstandard.
EASYPlug/EASYPlugDim: Schaltet und dimmt angeschlossene elektrische Geräte / Lampen durch Z-Wave
im TapHOME System durch das EASYGate (für den Betrieb erforderlich) selbstständig oder durch einen Anwenderbefehl aus der tapHOME App
ausgesandt (siehe tapHOME-App unter www.tapHOME.eu ).
6. Bedienung der Geräte
6.1 Inbetriebnahme
EASYGate: Verbinden Sie das EASYGate mit Ihrem Router/Switch/Accesspoint. Benutzen Sie hierzu das mitgelieferte LAN-Kabel und stecken
Sie dieses in eine freie LAN-Buchse Ihres Router/Switch/Accesspoint sowie der LAN-Buchse des EASYGate. Stecken Sie den mitgelieferten Net-
zadapter in die Steckdose und stellen Sie die Stromversorgung zum EASYGate her. Das EASYGate startet nun, die LED an der Geräterückseite
blinkt. Warten Sie bis die LED dauerhaft leuchtet. Im Bedarfsfall entnehmen Sie bitte weitere Informationen der Anleitung auf der Rückseite, der
tapHOME App Anleitung oder den FAQs unter www.tapHOME.eu.
EASYPlug/EASYPlugDim: Stecken Sie das Gerät in die Steckdose an dem Ort an dem es zukünftig eingesetzt werden soll. Dieses ist wichtig,
da ansonsten das EASYGate die Mesh-Networking Funktion nicht sinnvoll ausführen kann und hierdurch das Gerät ggf. nicht einwandfrei an-
gesprochen wird. EASYPlugDim : Schließen Sie eine Lampe am Gerät an (die LED ist nun auf- und abschwellend).
6.2 Manuelle Bedienung der Geräte
Nach Ausführung von Punkt 6.1 stehen folgende manuelle Funktionen zur Verfügung:
EASYGate: Dieses Gerät hat keine spezifischen manuellen Funktionen. Der Schalter auf der Rückseite des Gerätes bietet die Möglichkeit eines
Zurücksetzens auf den Auslieferungszustand durch Drücken und Halten des Schalters für min. 5 Sekunden.
ACHTUNG! Hierdurch werden alle gespeicherten Einstellungen unwiderruflich gelöscht und Sie müssen Ihr tapHOME System komplett neu
konfigurieren.
EASYPlug: Durch kurzes Drücken der Taste auf der Gerätevorderseite können Sie die angeschlossenen Geräte an- und ausschalten.
EASYPlugDim: Durch das betätigen der Taste auf der Gerätevorderseite können Sie eine angeschlossene Lampe schalten und dimmen. An/Aus-
Schalten durch kurzes betätigen der Taste. Wenn die Lampe angeschaltet wurde, kann die Helligkeit durch halten der Taste eingestellt werden.
Beim ersten Drücken und Halten wir die Lampe heller. Nach dem Loslassen wird die erreichte Helligkeit gehalten. Beim nächsten Drücken und

1. General information about this manual
Before getting started using tapHOME components please read this instruction carefully and completely. Keep this instruction and pass it on, if
you hand your device to anybody else.
2. Hazard warning
Opening of the devices is only allowed by authorized persons and gives the risk of an electric shock. There's no need to open the de-
vices, as there are no components to be serviced by a consumer. The devices are constructed to solely operate indoors on 230V/50Hz
AC supply. The devices are designed for continues operation, they don't have own separators and are power free only unplugged. For
this always make sure all devices are easily accessible. The EASYGate should only be operated with the supplied power supply. Never
plug the EASYPlug or EASYPlugDim into each other. Protect the devices against water, damp, dust, sun and other heat radiation.
IMPORTANT: Please always note the maximum loads as of following:
EASYPlug:
3.000W (1.500W for inductive loads)
EASYPlugDim:
500W (300W for electronic transformers and dimmable LED's)
For the EASYPlugDim only the following loads are suitable: conventional incandescent lamps, HV halogen lamps, LV halogen lamps with
electronic transformers and dimmable LED lamps.
Applying too high and/or not suitable loads can destroy the devices and will exclude the devices from warranty. Non-compliance can
also lead to accidents and fire.
3. General tapHOME system information
These device are part of the tapHOME home automation system and utilize a special radio protocol developed for this kind of app-lica-
tion called Z-Wave
®
. Z-Wave
®
among other things offers a manufacturer independent compatibility and following substantial features:
Bidirectional communication: a command send to the device will be acknowledged and reconfirmed
Mesh-Networking: Single Z-Wave
®
devices also operate as repeater. A command to a device which is too far away or hard to reach will
be passed on by up to 4 devices. The EASYGate arranges to find the best route to the devices and administrates the according routing
table for all devices.
The combination out of these features provides a secure, stable and reliable communication in between all devices. All system configu-
rations are done in the tapHOME-App which executes all functions and operations in conjunction with the EASYGate connected to the
router / switch / access point. Please refer to the tapHOME-App manual on www.taphome.eu to find out about all details of the scalable
tapHOME-App.
4. General note about radio operation
Z-Wave
®
utilizes the radio frequency of 868.42Mhz for transmitting of commands. As this frequency can also be used by other systems
and despite utilizing the Z-Wave
®
technology interferences in operating devices cannot be eliminated at any time. Electric motors, failure
devices, etc. can also give interferences for transmissions of radio signals. The reach of the radio signals in between the devices of 30m
in buildings and 100m in open air can be significantly reduced through the structure of buildings (e.g. concrete ceilings and/or walls) or
through other environmental influences (e.g. humidity). With the Z-Wave
perfect solution to overcome this issue and to provide an enhancement for the reach of the radio signals. Herewith EUROiSTYLE GmbH
declares that the EASYGate, EASYPlug and EASYPlugDim are compliant to the general requirements and other appropriated regula-
tions of the 1999/5/EC directive. The declarations of conformity are available under www.tapHOME.eu.
5. General function of the devices
EASYGate: Connected to a router/switch/accesspoint this device operates as a bridge between WLAN system (of your mobile devices)
and the Z-Wave
®
radio standard.
EASYPlug/EASYPlugDim: Switches/dims connected electronic devices/lamps by Z-Wave
by the tapHOME EASYGate (required for operation) either independently or through a user command utilizing the tapHOME App (more
information on www.taphome.eu).
6. Operating the devices
6.1 Setting-up operation
EASYGate: Connect the EASYGate with your router/switch/accesspoint. Use the supplied LAN cable for this connection by connecting to
free LAN connector at your router/switch/accesspoint and the LAN connector on the back side of the EASYGate. Plug the line adapter
into a power plug and connect the EASYGate with the line adapter. The EASYGate is now starting up and the LED on the backside is
flashing. Wait until the LED is solid shining. If necessary please consult the instructions on the back side of this manual, refer to the
tapHOME app manual or the FAQs at www.taphome.eu.
EASYPlug/EASYPlugDim: Plug the device into a power socket at the prospective place of operation. This is very important to have the
EASYGate operating the Mesh-Networking function the right way and to prevent future problems in communication in between the
devices. EASYPlugDim: Attach a lamp to the device (the device LED is now breathing).
6.2 Operating the devices manually
After following point 6.1 the following functions can be executed manually:
EASYGate: There is no specific manual operation needed or possible. The switch on the back side provides the option to reset the EASY-
Gate to factory default by pressing and holding the button for min. 5 seconds.
ATTENTION! This will delete all stored information and you will have to reconfigure your whole tapHOME system.
EASYPlug: The button on the front side of the device switches on/off a connected device by shortly pressing the button.
EASYPlugDim: The button on the front side of the device performs switching and dimming of connected lamps. Shortly pressing the but-
ton switches off/on the lamp. After switching on the lamp the brightness can be adjusted by pressing and holding the button. By the first
time pressing and holding the button the lamp will get brighter. After releasing the button the reached brightness will be freezed. With
the next pressing and holding the button the light will get darker. After releasing the button the brightness of the lamp will be freezed
again. The last freezed brightness will be automatically adopted by switching on the device.

6.3 Geräte am tapHOME System anlernen
Versetzen Sie das tapHOME System durch die tapHOME-App in den Anlernmodus entsprechend der tapHOME-App Anleitung (Meine Geräte /
Gerät hinzufügen). Im Falle des EASYPlugDim stellen Sie sicher das eine Lampe angeschlossen ist. Drücken Sie den Gerätekopf an der Vorder-
seite des Gerätes für 1 Sekunde (zählen Sie 21). Das Gerät wird nun in wenigen Sekunden erkannt (bei Fehler Vorgang wiederholen) und kann
im System genutzt werden. Zum Abschluss des Anlernens entsprechend den Anweisungen der tapHOME-App weiterverfahren. Im Bedarfsfall

6.4. Besondere Funktionen der EASYPlug/Dim Geräte im tapHOME System
Die Geräte können dem Standard-Z-Wave
®
Szenen ALLES AN/AUS zugefügt bzw. exkludiert werden. Im Auslieferungszustand sind die Geräte
den Szenen bereits hinzugefügt. Durch Auslösung der Szenen in der tapHOME-App werden alle der Szenen zugeordneten Geräte an- bzw. aus-
geschaltet. In den Geräteeinstellungen der tapHOME-App lassen sich für jedes einzelne Gerät folgende Zuordnungen machen:

Nur EASYPlug: Der Schalter an der Gerätevorderseite kann in den Geräteeinstellungen der tapHOME App gesperrt werden. Im Auslieferungszu-
stand ist der Geräteschalter entsperrt. Folgende Einstellungen können vorgenommen werden:

Alle tapHOME Geräte sind wartungsfrei. Reparaturen sollen nur durch autorisierte Fachkräfte vorgenommen werden. Zur Reinigung der Geräte
sind diese vom Stromnetz zu trennen. Reinigen Sie die Gerätegehäuse nur mit einem trockenen Tuch, achten Sie darauf, dass keine Feuchtigkeit
ins Geräteinnere dringt.
11. Entsorgungshinweis / CE-Zeichen
Geräte nicht im Hausmüll entsorgen! Elektronische Geräte sind entsprechend der Richtlinie über Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte über die örtli-
chen Sammelstellen für Elektronik-Altgeräte zu entsorgen. Das CE-Zeichen ist ein Freiverkehrszeichen, das sich ausschließlich an die Behörden
wendet und keine Zusicherung von Eigenschaften beinhaltet.
11. Gewährleistung
Es gelten die gesetzlichen Gewährleistungsbestimmungen. Im Falle eines Gewährleistungsanspruches wenden Sie sich bitte direkt an den

6.3 Teaching-in the devices to the tapHOME system
Set the tapHOME system into learning mode according to the tapHOME-App manual (My devices / Attach devices). In case of a EASY-
PlugDim make sure a Lamp is attached to the device. Press and hold the button on the front side of the device for 1 second (count 21).
The device will now be recognized within a few seconds and can be used within the system (after failure please repeat this procedure).
Finish the teaching-in procedure by following the instructions of the tapHOME-App. If necessary please consult the tapHOME App
manual or FAQ's at www.tapHOME.eu.
6.4. Special functions of the EASYPlug/Dim within the tapHOME system
The devices can be included/excluded into the standard Z-Wave
these scenes. By operating this scenes through the tapHOME-App all included devices will be switched on/off. Following settings can be
done for every single device in the device screen of the tapHOME-App:
1.

The device is included to the ALL ON/OFF scene

Disable ALL ON/OFF
The device is excluded from the ALL ON/OFF scene

Disable ALL ON
The device is only included to the ALL OFF scene

EASYPlug only: In the device screen of the TapHOME App the button of the device can be locked (additional child protection). By default
the button of the device is unlocked. Following settings can be done:

The button is unlocked and can be operated

The button is locked and can't be operated
3.
Fast triple push
The device can be switched by 3 fast pushes to the button

All tapHOME devices doesn't require any maintenance. Repairs should only be carries out by authorized persons. For cleaning the de-
vices please unplug the device from the power network. Clean the devices with a dry towel only and make sure that no water is getting
inside the devices.
11. Instruction for disposal
Do note dispose this device with domestic waste! Electronic devices are to dispose according the directive of electronic waste via the
local collection point for electronic waste. The CE-sign is a free trade sign addressed exclusively to the authorities and doesn't warrant
any properties.
12. Warranty
For warranty the legal regulations are applied. In case of a warranty claim please contact the dealer where you have bought the product.
