General information about solar technology
Your solar watch should always have a basic charge to prevent damage to the storage cell. For this purpose, it is recommended to not store the watch
permanently in the dark and to expose it to light on a daily base.
1. Basic setting – WINDING BUTTON, POSSIBLY BOLTED! (model-depending) Loosen by turning counterclockwise, lock by turning clockwise.
In the case that the watch was exposed to strong vibrations or magnetic fields, the synchronization between LCD display and hands may be
disturbed. Therefore, the hands must be newly calibrated when you first use your watch. Pull the winding button of your watch all the way out. The LCD
display shows CAL. Now press the Start/Stop button until the second hand is on 12:00. Now turn the winding button, until the minute hand and the
hour hand are exactly on 12:00 as well. Now, press the winding button back in. The LCD display shows DCF now. The radio signal is received.
This process may take 5-8 minutes. The storage cell must have sufficient charge for this process. If this is not the case, the process
can only be completed after sufficient charging time.
2. LCD display:
a) Upper LCD display: day of the week; lower LCD display: date, b) Upper LCD display: city; lower LCD display: world time,
c) Upper LCD display: stopwatch; lower LCD display: stop time
3. Manual transmitter call
Press Start/Stop for 3 seconds while the world time or the local time is indicated in the LCD display. This starts radio signal reception. It
takes 3-8 minutes, until reception is completed. Next, the watch adjusts the new radio time and the correct date. The signal will be automatically
obtained every night between 3 and 4 am.
4. Manual adjustment of the analog time
If you would like to use your watch outside the normal time zone (BER), you must manually adjust the time, as radio signal DCF77 cannot be received
everywhere! Press Set/Reset for 3 seconds while the day of the week and the date are shown on the display in order to manually adjust the
time. Now you can select one of the 38 cities using the Start/Stop button. Next, press Mode to enter the DST (Daylight Savings Time)
setting. In order to activate respectively deactivate, select "ON/OFF" by pressing Start/Stop. Next, press Mode to enter the digital
hours indicator in the lower LCD display. Set the hour using Start/Stop. Similarly, you can adjust the minutes, the language for the weekly display
(German/English), as well as the date. Press Set/Reset to exit the manual settings. Now, the hands adjust automatically.
5. Stopwatch
If STW is indicated in the display, press Start/Stop to start and stop the stopwatch. When pressing on Set/Reset, the stopwatch is
reset to zero. Intermediate time measurements are possible using Set/Reset while the stopwatch is running.
6. World time: 38 cities / DST
Press Set/Reset while the digital world time is displayed. The city name is flashing. Change the city name by pressing Start/Stop. After you
selected a new time zone, press Mode to activate respectively deactivate the Daylight Savings Time (DST). For this purpose, press Start/Stop
