Thank you for purchasing this Philippi product.
Please read this instruction sheet carefully before taking the Philippi Gel
Fireplace into use and retain this information for further reference/usage.
WARNING:
In ready-for-use condition, this product contains fuel gel and must be kept
out of reach of children. This also applies to any containers storing fuel gel.
WARNING:
If fuel gel is swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Contact your physician or
nearest poison information center immediately, and show them this warning
notice/product information.
WARNING:
If you have skin contact with the fuel gel, please remove any residues
with soap and water. Wash your hands thoroughly before igniting the gel
fireplace.
Only ignite the gel fireplace if it has been placed on a fireproof base, and it
stands level and secure. Never move the fireplace after ignition, as the liquid
could slosh over the sides and ignite. Ventilation from beneath the fireplace
should always be warranted. Disassemble or change locations only after the
flame has been extinguished and the fireplace is in a cooled down condition.
The room in which the gel fireplace is set up should have a size of 15m² at
the least, and sufficient ventilation must be warranted in that room.
This fireplace is not intended as and should never be used as a room heater.
Make sure that no flammable material can be found within a 50 centimeter
radius around the fireplace.
Never place any objects on top of the fireplace.
Never position the fireplace in drafty areas, as drafts fan the flames.
Both the glass cylinder as well as the metal base can become extremely hot.
Please protect yourself before touching the gel fireplace after ignition.
Before replacing the fuel gel can, please allow the fireplace to cool down
completely. It must be ensured that no flame is still burning.
Never smoke when replacing the fuel gel can!
Only insert the fuel gel can explicitly recommended for this fireplace and
replace the emptied can with a new can. Never refill a used can.
Never store or use within the reach of children.
Never leave the fireplace unsupervised or unattended.
Children and pets must always be supervised and the fireplace out their
reach.
Please observe the general fire preventive measures when exposed to open
flames.

Instructions for Use
ATTENTION: It is only permitted to operate the gel fireplace with gel fuel!
Unpack the fireplace completely.
Remove the cover panel and the
glass cylinder from the gel fireplace.
Please carefully read the user
information/warnings printed on the
gel fuel can before inserting the can
into the gel fireplace.
Insert the fuel gel can into the gel
fireplace and after insertion, remove
the can's lid.
Replace the cover panel onto the gel
fireplace.
Ignite the fuel gel and replace the
glass cylinder back on to the corpus.
ATTENTION: Never burn the gel
fireplace without the glass cylinder
in place.
To extinguish the fireplace, simply
lay the provided extinguisher on
the opening.
The flame can be put out with
the extinguisher at any time, even
if the fuel gel can is not empty.
Never attempt to blow out the
flame; this could cause a flash/
explosive flame.
Never extinguish the flame
with water; this could cause an
uncontrollable explosion.
Fuel gel cans that have not been
completely emptied must be sealed
carefully to avoid evaporation of the
alcohol in the gel. Inhalation of the
vapors is hazardous to your health.
Empty fuel gel cans should never be
disposed of in household waste and
should be brought to your nearest
hazardous waste disposal center.
Prevent fuel gel residues from being
discharged into wastewater sewage.
