Inserting / Changing Batteries

1. Unscrew the candles from the clips by turning them anticlockwise.
2. Remove the old batteries if necessary and insert a new 1.5 V
battery, AAA type with the positive pole fi rst into each of the
candles.
3. Screw the candles back onto the clips by turning them clockwise.

Operation

• Use the buttons 1 and 2 of the remote control to switch on the
candles:
– Button 1: The candles light up constantly.
– Button 2: The candles fl icker.
You can switch back and forth between lighting up constantly and
fl ickering at any time.
• Use the AUS (off) button to switch the candles off again.
NOTE
• If some candles do not switch on, over or off directly, check the
alignment of the candles and the remote control: For problem-
free operation it is important that there is an optical connection
between all candles and the remote control.
If necessary, rearrange the candles in the tree and / or choose
another location from which you operate the candles. Please be
aware of the range of the remote control. This is around 5 m.
Then press the button 1, 2 or AUS (off) again, depending on
whether you want to switch the candles on, over or off.
• If some candles still do not switch on, check the fi t of the candles
and the clips: The candles must not be screwed too tight onto the
clips. Turn the candles anticlockwise a quarter turn and try again to
switch on the candles.
• If you subsequently buy more candles or sets of candles, all candles
can be switched on and off using just one remote control.

Troubleshooting

In case (some) candles do not respond to the remote control check
the following:
• Are batteries inserted into the candles and the remote control?
• Are the batteries too weak or incorrectly inserted?
• Are the candles and the clips correctly screwed together?
The candles must not be screwed too tight onto the clips. Turn
the candles anticlockwise a quarter turn and try again to switch on
the candles.
• Are the candles within the range of the remote control? / Is there
an optical connection between the candles and the remote con-
trol?
For problem-free operation it is important that there is an optical
connection between all candles and the remote control.
If necessary, rearrange the candles in the tree and/or choose
another location from which you operate the candles. Please be
aware of the range of the remote control. This is around 5 m.

Disposal
The packaging can be recycled. Please dispose of it in an
environmentally friendly manner and take it to a recycling
centre.
Dispose of the article in an environmentally friendly man-
ner. The article should not be disposed of in the normal
domestic waste. Please dispose of it at a recycling centre for
old electrical and electronic devices. You can obtain more
information from your local authorities.
The batteries should be removed prior to disposal of the
article and disposed of separately from the article. To pro-
tect the environment, non-rechargeable and rechargeable
batteries may not be disposed of with the normal house-
hold waste, but must be taken to suitable collection points.
Also note the relevant statutory regulations governing the
disposal of batteries.
