30.3311.02 Window and door contact sensor
WeatherHub-Sensor
This sensor is a component of the "WeatherHub" system for monitoring the opening and closing of doors and windows, it can only be
used with this system. You need an installed WeatherHub gateway to use the sensor.
Before you use it:
Please be sure to read this short instruction manual carefully.
Following the instruction manual for use will prevent damage to the device and loss of your statutory rights arising from defects
due to incorrect use.
We shall not be liable for any damage occurring as a result of not following these instructions. Likewise, we take no responsibility
for any incorrect readings and for any consequences which may result from them.
Please take particular note of the safety advice!

The product is exclusively intended for the range of application described above. The product should only be used as described
within these instructions.
Unauthorized repairs, modifications or changes to the product are prohibited.
Caution!
Risk of injury:
Keep this device and the batteries out of reach of children.
Batteries can be fatal if swallowed. If a battery has been swallowed, get medical assistance immediately.
Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuited, taken apart or recharged. Risk of explosion!
Batteries contain harmful acids. Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by a leaking
battery. Never use a combination of old and new batteries together or batteries of different types.
Remove the batteries if you do not use the product for a lengthy period.
Wear chemical-resistant protective gloves and glasses when handling leaking batteries.
Important information on product safety!
Do not expose your device to extreme temperatures, vibrations or shocks.
Clean the instrument with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
Protect it from moisture. The sensor is not waterproof. For indoor mounting only.

Add sensor
Start the App. Dashboard is displayed. Tap "Add new sensor" and scan the QR code on each sensor unit. A copy of the sensor code is
attached. Set a name for the sensor.

Remove the sensor unit from the white plastic cover. Use the plastic strip for initial operation.
The housing is also removable by gently pressing both sides, as shown in the illustration.
Turn the sensor upside down and let the interior gently fall out. Remove the battery insulation
strip and assemble the sensor back together. Alternatively you can use the brown plastic cover.
Mounting sensor and contact
The mounting place must be within the gateway range (max. 100m). The sensor and contact unit should
be mounted as high as possible on the door leaf/casement and on the door/ window frame (figure).
Attention: The gap between the sensor and the contact unit when closed should be as small as possible
(not be larger than 35mm when closed). Attach the self-adhesive strip to the bottom of the sensor and
contact unit. Remove the protective film first. Repeat this step with the opposite side of the
self-adhesive strip and mount it on the door/ window frame. Make sure the adhesive
surface is free from dust and fat. Metallic window or door frames can interfere with
the sensor function.
Application
The contact sensors are widely applicable, ideal for monitoring windows and doors in the whole house.
Battery replacement
When you receive the notification for changing the battery, open the sensor as mentioned and change the batteries.

Waste disposal
This product has been manufactured using high-grade materials and components which can be recycled and reused.
Do not dispose of batteries or rechargeable batteries in ordinary household waste!

to national or local regulations in order to protect the environment. The symbols for the heavy metals contained are:
Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead
This instrument is labelled in accordance with the EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE).
Please do not dispose of this product with other household waste. The user is obligated to take end-of-life devices to
a designated collection point for the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment, in order to ensure environmen-
tally-compatible disposal.
