Installation Manual
Anfi-tec
Universal water block
Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for purchasing an Anfi-tec water block. The
UCD water blocks are compatible with the North- and
Southbridges of the motherboard.
Product may vary from picture depending on model.
ATTENTION:
This product contains swallowable parts. Keep away from
children!
An Allen key 2.5mm is required for installation.
Installation of the water block
4Depending on the type of fitting, we recommend to fix
All fittings and tubing before the installation, in order to
prevent any canting of the chip or uneven compression.
4First of all, screw the fittings (with G1/4 threads with
integrated o-rings) in both openings of the water block.
Do not use any tools for this step. Turn the fittings only
hand-tight. If you fix the fittings too tightly, you may
cause cracks in the top cover of the water block.
If you choose hex-head screws, make sure to fix them
one after another.
4Choose the suitable mounting links for the openings of
the chip to be cooled.
4Remove those two screws which are not needed for
fixing a mounting link with an Allen key. Place the
washers between base and top (in the cut-out) and
tighten the screws afterwards.
4Unscrew the other two screws and insert the chosen
mounting links with slots (long slot pointing outwards)
as described before.

Please note following information before beginning the
installation:
4Ensure that the installation is only carried out by
experienced users or skilled experts.
4Read the complete installation manual before beginning
the step-by-step installation.
4We accept no liability for damage caused by or
resulting from the installation of the water block.
Therefore, please handle your hardware with care, and
thoroughly check if the water block is installed correctly
and watertight before switching on your PC!
4Check the correct function of new hardware
components before installing the water block in order to
detect pre-existing product defects, and complain about
it to the manufacturer.

Tip: Only loosely fix both screws in order to allow for a
pivoting of the mounting links during the rest of the
installation.
Tubing
4Before fixing the motherboard in the chassis
install the tubing between all installed water blocks.
4The water blocks must be integrated into a water
cooling loop for use.
4A sufficiently powerful pump and a radiator for cooling
the heated water should be included in the water
cooling loop.
4The Anfi-tec water block has no specific inlet or outlet.
You can specify the flow direction according to your
tubing.
4Only use tubing suitable for your chosen fittings.
4Fill the loop with clean, distilled water mixed with an
appropriate algae inhibitor.
4In order to prevent entrapped air in the loop, a regular
maintenance including a possible refilling is necessary.
Instructions for use
4The performance rate of the Anfi-tec water block
depends on the flow rate. Thus a more powerful pump
increases the cooling efficiency. Therefore, we
recommend using special pumps for computer water
cooling.
4Due to its large flow channels the Anfi-tec water block is
not prone to blockage. Nevertheless, in case of a
blockage, remove the water block from the motherboard,
open the top cover and remove the blockage with a
brush and mild soap.

4Remove the motherboard and detach any existing
heatsink (in case the motherboard is not already
dismounted).
4Please use an antistatic mat and ground yourself to
avoid damaging your sensitive hardware due to
Electrostatic discharge.
4Remove any remaining thermal compound using a
suitable cleaner and a soft, lint-free cloth.
4Apply fresh thermal compound. A very small quantity is
sufficient.
4Use a plastic scraper or an old credit card to spread a
very thin layer of compound over the entire surface of
the chip.
4
Turn the mounting links so that the slots of the mounting
bracket match the mounting holes of the motherboard.
4Finally fix both mounting link screws tightly to the water
block.
4Check the water tightness of the water block via test run
(without PC hardware).
4 Place the checked water block on the chip with the
thermal compound.
4You can fix the white glue pads at the corners of the
water block in order to protect your chipset from
damage by avoiding a wagging of the water block.
Make sure the glue pads do not touch the chip (esp.
Chipsets with heat spreaders).
4Insert both M3x14mm bolts through the holes in the
mounting links and the motherboard.
4Attach the rubber buffer rings to the screws at the
back of the motherboard and attach the screw nuts
afterwards.
4Now tighten the screws, alternately turning each screw
through 180° with an Allen key while fixing the screw
nuts at the back.
4Ensure that the water block is fixed evenly, tightly and
plane so that all rubber buffer rings are equally
squeezed.
ATTENTION!
Never fix the screws too tightly, for it can lead to a
bending and damaging of the motherboard and/or the
chip to be cooled!

4The Anfi-tec water block is intended for private use only.
4The warranty does not apply in the event of failure or
damage to other hardware components due to improper
use or inappropriate installation.
