Intended use

The product is suitable for power supply or charging up to two compat-
ible USB devices.
Power supply of the USB charging adapter is provided by a regular home
mains socket with a protective earth contact.
The mains line is looped through to a socket with a protective earth con-
tact on the front side of the USB charging adapter, to which any load can
be connected (max. 3680 W, 16 A).
Please read the operating instructions carefully and do not discard them.
If you pass the product on to a third party, please hand over these oper-
ating instructions as well. Observe all safety information and other infor-
mation in these operating instructions.
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to the
product and involves a risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc.

Explanation of symbols

The lightning symbol inside a triangle is intended to alert you of
health hazards, e. g., risk of electrical shock.
This symbol points to specific risks associated with handling, func-
tion or operation.
The arrow symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
The product is only intended to be placed and used in dry, en-
closed indoor areas; it must not get damp or wet.

Safety instructions

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure
to observe these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability
for any resulting damage!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage
caused by improper use or non-compliance with the safety instruc-
tions! In such cases, the warranty will be null and void!
a) General
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is
not permitted for safety and approval reasons (CE). Do not open/
disassemble! Contains no customer-serviceable parts.
Maintenance, adjustment or repair work may only be carried out
by an expert/authorised service centre, which is familiar with the
hazards involved and the relevant regulations.
• The product is designed according to protection class I. It may
only be used when connected to an earthed mains socket.
• The USB charging adapter is equipped with a child safety device.
Only when the prongs of a power plug are placed in both openings
of the socket on the front side at the same time will the mecha-
nism release the opening.
Nevertheless, take special caution when children are around.
Children are not aware of the potential danger associated with
the incorrect handling of electrical appliances. There is a risk of a
life-threatening electric shock!
The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of chil-
dren. Position the product so it is out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave the packaging material unattended since this may
become a dangerous plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts,
blows, or accidental falls, even from a low height.
b) Operating location
• The product may be used in dry, enclosed indoor areas only; it
must not get damp or wet! Never use the product in the direct
vicinity of a bathroom, shower, bathtub or similar. There is a risk of
a life-threatening electric shock!
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct
sunlight or strong vibrations.
• Do not operate the device in environments where there are high
levels of dust, flammable gases, vapours or solvents. There is a
danger of fire and explosion!
c) Operation
• Never touch, operate, plug in or unplug the product with damp or
wet hands. There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Never connect the product to the power supply immediately after
it has been transferred from a cold room into a warm one (e.g.,
during transport). The condensation that forms might destroy the
device. Moreover, there is danger of electric shock!
Allow the device to reach room temperature before switching it
on. Wait until the condensation has evaporated. This might take
several hours. Only after this should the product be plugged into
the power supply and put into use.
• Do not pull the power plug from the mains socket by pulling on
the cable! Always pull the power plug from the mains socket by
gripping the area provided for this purpose on its sides.
• Never overload the product. Observe the maximum connected
load in the chapter "Technical data" .
• Do not connect in series! This can lead to overloading of the prod-
uct! There is a risk of fire!
Plug the earthed mains plug on the back of the USB charging
adapter directly e.g., into a wall socket.
• Do not operate while it is covered! At higher connected loads, the
USB charging adapter will get hot, which may lead to overheating
posing a risk of fire, if it is covered!
• Only voltage-free, when the plug is removed!
