1.) Installation of Misceo 3

ATTENTION: The water and power supply of the mixing
device must always be disconnected after the end of use
or if the device is not being supervised!
2.) Language setting
To select your language on the Misceo 3, enter your country code in the main menu under "COUNTRY"
(telephone area code) using the plus and minus keys. Your vernacular language will immediately appear.
3.) Viscosity adjustment
The correctly set viscosity of your cooling lubricant is the basis of the precision and
function of your Misceo 3. The viscosity can be adjusted in the main menu via the
plus and minus keys. The viscosity of your cooling lubricant to be set can normally
be found in the DIN data sheet of your cooling lubricant under point 9.
The viscosity units required by the Misceo 3 are mm²/s at 20°C in accordance with DIN 51562.
If the viscosity is stated at 40°C, you can calculate the raw viscosity by the formula "Viscosity at 40°C x
Factor 2,8 = Viscosity at 20°C". If the viscosity data is not available or if the mixing result isn't right, continue
with the "Adjusting" step.
4.) Adjusting
If the mixing result is not right, this is normally the result of an incorrectly set viscosity (observe refractometer
value). You can easily correct this deviation in the main menu with the "ADJUST" function.
To adjust the Misceo 3, proceed as follows:
1.) In the main menu, enter the viscosity from the DIN data sheet of your cooling
lubricant next to viscosity (see "Viscosity setting"). If the viscosity of your
cooling lubricant is unknown or unavailable, an average viscosity of
130 mm²/s can be set.
2.) Blend two buckets of cooling lubricant each with 8 l and 5 %.
3.) The first bucket is not measured, but used for precision. Measure the second
bucket of cooling lubricant with your refractometer (observe the refractometer
value).
4.) Go to the main menu via the menu item "MAIN MENU".
5.) Select the menu item "CALIBRATE" in the main menu.
6.) Enter the measured concentration under "MEASURING" in the menu
"CALIBRATE" and confirm this in "CALCULATE".
7.) The Misceo 3 will then calculate the new viscosity. Accept the calculated viscosity by simply pressing enter
on the menu item "APPLY".
8.) To check this, mix another bucket of cooling lubricant and check the mixture concentration. The
concentration should now be correct.
9.) If the measured concentration is not yet satisfactory, please repeat the introduction beginning at step 4.
In the case of substantial deviations, repeated calibrating may be necessary.
