Durch die Verstärkung des Schallplattensignals direkt an der Quelle, also am Tonabnehmer, mit Hilfe einer Platine, verbessert sich das Rauschverhältnis (Signal-to-Noise-Ratio) im gesamten Audiobereich um rund zehn Dezibel.
