3. Measure the time in seconds until the liquid thread breaks off. This flow time is
called DIN-s. Thin the material as much as necessary until the liquid thread
already breaks off after 20 seconds.

Preparing the Surface to be painted

The object to be painted, or the surface, etc. has to be clean, dry and free of
grease and dust. Metal surfaces must be stainless. Since the fine sprayed paint is
dispersed in a very thin layer on the surface, roughness would have a negative
effect on the paint result.

Using

1. Before starting to work, check the trigger (5) to make sure it moves freely.
2. Connect the paint spray gun to the compressed air supply. The air should be
regulated and filtered. Refer to the parameters stated in the technical data
when setting up the air pressure.
3. Note the parameters given by the manufacturer of the coating materials to be
processed. Pour the material to be processed in the material cup (12) and
carefully turn the cup from below on the lid (6). Pay attention to the air hose
when painting. Hold the hose firmly with one hand while operating the paint
spray gun with the other hand. The hose must not be bent. Do not step on it,
as this will lead to formation of droplets.
4. Press the trigger (5) and perform test runs on some test pieces. This way you
can determine the optimum amount of paint and the different paint jet adjust-
ments.
The movement speed of the spray gun depends on the setting of the air flow
regulator (1). With little paint, move the spray gun slowly. With plenty of paint
move it faster. Do not spray in an arc on the surface and do not interrupt
spraying as this will lead to uneven or too little paint distribution onto the
surface. The general recommended spraying distance is approx. 20 cm.
5. Reduce the air supply by pressing the trigger less in. Or use the air flow
regulator to limit the max. possible air supply. Turn the air flow regulator
steplessly clockwise to reduce the max. possible air pressure.
6. Press the trigger further in to increase the air intake pressure. Or turn the air
flow regulator counter clockwise in order to increase the max. possible air flow.
This way the atomisation can be adjusted from a coarser to a finer level.
Always keep the vent opening (11) on the lid of the material cup open to avoid
malfunctions.
