USB appliances are shown in the system tray part of the task bar as a small
•
box with green arrow (Microsoft operating systems only), like USB stick
removable storage media or external hard drives. Before disconnecting these
from the USB hub, deactivate them by clicking on the symbol in the system
tray of the task bar.
For other operating systems please read the instruction manual on how to
•
disconnect external data storages.
If the USB hub is powered by the computer, some appliances might not
•
work correctly because they require more power (e.g. external hard
drives). In this case connect the supplied power adaptor with 5V DC and
2A (output) to the power adaptor jack of the USB hub. Before connecting
the power adaptor to a wall outlet, please check that the supply voltage is
the same as the voltage shown on the rating label of your power adaptor.
Before connecting or disconnecting the power adaptor to a wall outlet,
please always switch the On-/Off switch to the position O.
If you switch the On-/Off switch to the position O, all connected devices
•
will be disconnected from your computer. Make sure to deactivate external
storage devices first.
USB 1.1 AND USB 2.0 STANDARD
If the USB hub is connected to a USB port with USB 1.1 standard, all
•
appliances connected to the USB hub will work with lower transfer rates.
To ensure the best transfer rates, always connect the USB hub to USB ports
•
with USB 2.0 standard.
Note: Some USB appliances have to be connected directly to an USB port of
your computer, in order to work correctly. They cannot be connected via an
USB hub.
CLEANING
Wipe off the USB hub housing with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh
•
or abrasive detergents.
