LifeStraw® Go
The LifeStraw® Go water bottle incorporates award-winning filter
technology into a durable, convenient bottle which filters at least
1,000 liters of water over its lifetime without requiring batteries.
Its lightweight and slender design makes it perfect for hiking,
travelling, and camping in areas where water may be unsafe to
drink due to contamination by bacteria or parasites. LifeStraw®
Go uses advanced microfiltration membrane technology that
removes up to 99.9999 percent of bacteria (e.g., Escherichia coli,
Vibrio cholerae, and Salmonella typhi) and 99.9 percent of
protozoan cysts (e.g., Cryptosporidium parvum, Giardia lamblia)
that produce waterborne diseases. LifeStraw® Go therefore
greatly reduces the risk of contracting illnesses such as diarrhea,
dysentery, and Giardia.
The LifeStraw® story
LifeStraw® technology was originally developed in 2005 as an
emergency response tool to filter contaminated water following
natural disasters and is now used in water filtration products
globally. The technology has also been beneficial to people living
in developing countries who lack access to safe water.
