Powering the KALEO ON and OFF
To power the KALEO ON or OFF push the Power Bu on
powered ON, pressing the bu on will put the KALEO into suspend mode. To
power off use the „shut down" so ware func on provided by your Windows OS.
Insert, remove and charge the ba ery
Make sure that the ba eries are charged before using the KALEO. To charge the
ba eries plug the AC adapter directly into the DC-in plug
cradle

To insert the ba ery, place it on the connector
push the upper end slightly into the KALEO. The ba ery latch
automa cally. To remove the ba ery, slide the ba ery latch
Ba eries can also be charged with external charging devices (see back page of this
QuickStart Guide).
Bu on manager
To change the func on of the bu ons
system tray
In the new window select a programmable bu on. Then select the func on that
you want to assign. For more features click "Customize". Confirm with "OK".
LED indicators
WLAN indicator blinks when WLAN is ac ve.
Ba ery indicator is blue when ba ery is 25% to 100% charged. Blinking blue
indicates the ba ery is charging. Orange indicates that the ba ery capacity is
between 11% to 25%. Blinking orange indicates that the ba ery capacity is below
10%. Blinking blue and orange alternately indicates the ba ery is being warmed
up; do not unplug the AC/DC adapter.
Windows Mobility Center
You can access Windows Mobility Center via
Start/Programs/Accessories/Windows Mobility Center. There you can check or
configure se ngs such as brightness, volume, ba ery status, WLAN, Bluetooth
and calibra on.
Boot Manager and Setup U lity (BIOS)
At the boo ng of the KALEO press ESC to enter the BIOS and press F12 to enter
the Boot Manager.

When moun ng the clip-on ba ery and when placing the KALEO

pressure may damage the contacts and pins.
