LIMITATIONS:
1. Harness should be the personal property of its user.
2. The strength of the anchor device should be greater than 10 kN and the anchor point should be situated above the user's head.
It must be in the vertical axis of the work plan (maxi angle +/- 30°) and must not feature any sharp edge. Check its conformity to EN795 standard.
3. It should not be used in highly acid or basic environments.
4. Protect the harness from mechanical hazards like sharp edges, tools, exposure to sunlight, ultraviolet degradation both during usage, transportation and storage.
FITTING & SIZING:
Follow Step 1 to Step 6 to wear the harness. Both leg straps as well as shoulder straps are adjustable to fit the size of the user. A harness either too loose or too
tight will restrict movement and will not provide the optimum level of protection.
The size of the harness is marked on marked on a label attatched to it and it is universal.
Visually inspect the harness before use to ensure that it is in a serviceable condition and operates correctly.
Step 1 : Hold the harness by the dorsal D-Ring.
Step 2 : Insert your feet into the waist belt such that the right foot enters into the right leg strap
while left into the left leg straps.
Step 3: Now insert your head between the two shoulder straps such that the harness lies completely
on your body as shown in Fig. 1.
Step 4 : Now close the parachute buckles of the waist belt both left & right one by one and tighten
them to obtain a tight fit.
Step 5: Close buckles of leg straps one by one & tighten shoulder straps by means of adjustment
provided to obtain tight fit as shown in Fig. 2.
Step 6 : Now use the dorsal D-Ring & the front chest D-Ring for fall arrest.
These two fall arrest attachment elements on the harness can be identified by an "A"
inscribed over them.
The lateral D-Rings are for work positioning, and front waist D-Ring is for Rope Access.
Note: stow the excess strap carefully in the strap retainers.
INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE:
!
Before using the harness, check carefully that the straps, the metallic parts, the closing and tightening system are in good state.
Make sure that the label is always clear, legible and in good state.
In case of any doubt arising about the condition of any component or system, replace it immediately.
If the item has arrested a fall, withdraw it from service & return to the manufacturer or to a competent repair centre.
Before the use of the harness for the 1st time, the user should carry out a suspension test in a safe place to ensure that the harness is the correct size, has sufficient
adjustment, and is of an acceptable comfort level for the intended use.
Apart from Fall Arrest this harness can be used in specific situations in conjunction with Fall Arrestors where front attachment is needed.
Never work alone but under the supervision of a trained staff only.
A rescue plan has to be set up before use, for carrying out a rescue operation in case of emergency.
It implies a good knowledge and training about rescue techniques.
PROTECTION OF THE USER AGAINST HAZARDS DURING USE:
!
While using the harness, ensure that there is a minimum clearance below the user's feet, to avoid him hitting the ground in case of a fall.
When using the PN56, it has to be made sure that the wearer does not trip over flexible anchor lines of lanyards.
Once a fall has be arrested rescue measures are to be taken immediately.
If a fall has been arrested, swinging in the harness and hitting a solid object might cause injury to the wearer.
For this reason, care has to be taken that there are not such objects in the working area.
MATERIAL USED: The entire webbing used in these harnesses is made up of high-tenacity polyester.

WARNING:
!
Ensure that the user instructions are complied with for all other components in the fall arrest system like lanyards, karabiners etc.
It is important to check before use any dangers that may arise by the use of combinations of items of the equipment in which the safe function of
any one item is affected by or interferes with the safe function of another.
Do not make any alterations or additions in the harness without the manufacturer's prior written consent.
If the equipment becomes wet, either from being in use, or when cleaning, it should be allowed to dry naturally, and should be kept away from direct heat.
It is essential to regularly check the fastening and/or adjustment elements during use.
In a fall arrest system, it is essential for safety that the anchor device or anchor point is always well positioned, and the work carried out in such
way, as to minimize both the potential for falls and potential fall distance. Ensure that the anchor point is above the user's head.
Only a full body harness complying to EN361:2002 shall be used as a body holding device within the fall arrest system.
The equipment shall not be used outside its limitations, or for any purpose other than that for which it is intended.
If the product is resold outside the original country of destination, the reseller shall provide instructions for use, for maintenance, for periodic
examination and for repair in the language of the country in which the product is to be used and under his own responsibility.
COMPATIBILITY: To optimise protection, in some instances it may be necessary to use the harness with suitable boots/gloves/helmet/ ear
defenders. In this case, before carrying out the risk-related activity, consult your supplier to ensure that all your protective products are compatible
and suitable for your application. Also ensure that the product is used by a trained and/or competent person.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT: When not in use, store the harness in a well-ventilated area away from extremes of temperature. Never place
heavy items on top of it. If possible, avoid excessive folding and preferably store it hanging vertically. If the product is wet, allow it to dry fully
before placing it into storage.
REPAIR: If the product becomes damaged, it will NOT provide the optimum level of protection, and therefore should be immediately either
replaced. Never use the damaged product. The product has no repairable features hence the manufacturer does not allow any repar that can be
carried out on the product whatsoever.
LIFESPAN: Even when not subjected to stress, harnesses made of chemical fibre age to a certain extent, particularly as a result of ultra violet
light and other environmental influences. This makes it impossible to give any universally applicable indication of service life.
Experience has shown that under normal conditions, they can be used for 5 years but inspection before each use is compulsory.
The lifespan greatly depends upon the conditions of use of the products and the storage.
CLEANING: In case of minor soiling, wipe the full body harness with cotton cloth or a soft brush. Do not use any abrasive material. For inten-
sive cleaning wash the harness in water at a temperature between 30°C to 60°C by using a neutral detergent (pH+7). The washing temperature
should not exceed 60°C. Do not use acid or basic detergents. Follow the washing instructions absolutely without any deviations.

PROTECTION OF THE HARNESS DURING USE
The harness should be protected against the following factors:
· Inappropriate choice of the harness in relation to the risk concerned, e.g potential falling heights of more than 2 m.
· Inappropriate combination with other equipment.
· Use by a person lacking sufficient safety awareness.
· Unnecessary physical loading (static or dynamic), e.g by lifting heavy objects such as sections of plates etc...
· Improper use by untrained persons.
· Deterioration through mechanical wear, water of soiling.
· Inappropriate storage, maintenance of cleaning.
· Since all webbing are made of polyester, the performance of which gets affected by temperatures, effect of sharp edges, electrical conductivity,
chemical reagents, cutting, abrasion, UV degradation, weather conditions etc. It is advised to consult your supplier for use' in above extreme conditions.
PERIODIC EXAMINATION: the product needs to periodically examined because the safety of the user depends upon the continued efficiency
& durability of it.
It is important to examine it at least once in every 12 months by an expert. However the product should be examined by the user before each use.
Periodic examination is to be conducted by a competent person and strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's periodic examination procedures.
Periodic examination also requires checking the legibility of the product markings.
