A cut-off plug inserted into a 13 amp socket is a serious safety (shock) hazard. Ensure that the

WARRANTy

This plug has two flat, oblique prongs that form an inverted "V", as
well as a grounding prong. Line up the prongs to the socket and
ensure that the plug is fully inserted.
