6.2.1

Cleaning the worktable

1 Remove all racks and carriers from the worktable.
2 Wipe the surface of the worktable with a suitable cleaning agent (e.g. alcohol, disinfectant) to remove any
spilled reagent.
3 If necessary, additionally clean with water.
6.2.2

Cleaning the acrylic safety panel

Wipe the inner and outer surface of the safety panel with a suitable cleaning agent, such as water, alcohol, or
disinfectant to remove any spilled reagent or sample.

When using a desinfectant, try at a small area for compatibility with the material.
6.2.3

Cleaning the liquid containers

If the containers are installed wrong, contamination through liquid waste may occur.
To prevent salt deposits and growth of microorganisms in liquid containers, clean all liquid containers at least
once a week. Make sure to allow solvents (e.g. ethanol) to evaporate before filling system liquid into the
containers again.
Clean the waste container at least once a day. Make sure not to mix up the system liquid container and the
waste container.
6.2.4

Cleaning the DiTi waste and wash station unit

The DiTi waste and wash station unit may be contaminated with residues from reagents and samples that must
be removed.
1 Open the safety panel of the MultiMACS X.
2 Remove the holder for the disposable waste bag (see Figure 6.1 ).
