The battery status indicator consists of 4 blue LEDs indicating the state of charge. The
indicator lights up after a short press of the power button. The battery status can also
be viewed in the REX Online app. Examples of endurance: approximately 4 months
when moving 3 hours a day, 6 months when moving 1 hour twice a week. Endurance
is based on the movement/standing ratio, GPS and GSM signal quality and other
factors. The locator is charged by connecting a Micro-USB charger (parameters 5V,
min. 2A). During charging, the battery level can be monitored on the LED indicator.
The locator only needs to be placed in the object to be tracked. The back of the
locator is magnetic and can be attached to magnetic surfaces. A plate for attaching to
non-magnetic surfaces is also included. It is always necessary to check that the
locator is securely attached to avoid losing it. The locator also detects removal from
the monitored object by means of a "tamper" - a light sensor on the back of the
locator. You will receive an alert in the REX Online app when a removal occurs.
During the first run, it is necessary that the locator is not inside a building (e.g. in a
garage) to obtain an accurate GPS location. In the case of indoor installation, the
positions are usually only displayed during the first movement - driving the vehicle
(the locator sends the positions as it moves). If the locator positions are not displayed
even after the first movement, try changing the location for better GPS signal
reception (e.g. from under the vehicle reserve - move it under the side cover in the
trunk).
When placing the locator in the vehicle, the following principles must be observed:
-
Mount the unit ideally horizontally with the diode on top
-
Do not install the unit near hot or moving parts of the vehicle, or where water may
enter
-
Do not install the unit next to radio antennas, car radios or other sources of
electromagnetic radiation or where it's prohibited
-
Store the switched off locator with battery charged to approx. 70%
