BASIC 3.0S – Start-up Guide
The com.tom BASIC devices communicate
with the web portal via Ethernet and the exist-
ing network infrastructure. The communication
mechanism has a low data volume and can be
integrated easily in the existing network infra-
structure. With the integrated switch and the
auxiliary functions com.tom a compact VPN
and NAT cheap local network structure to
access controls and devices is given. The
Device may only be put into service and operated by quali-
fied personnel.
The device is designed for an installation on a grounded 35 mm
DIN Rail in dry rooms.
After the installation the housing of the device is connected with
functional earth.
The power supply must be a grounded circuit (PELV).
The power supply must be a limited power source according to
EN60950-1 cap. 2.5 or the device must be provided with an
anti-surge fuse of 2 A.
By using the GPJ power supply connector (labeled in white) the
power supply for a com.tom GRAPHIC with a standard Ethernet
cable via Port ETH1.3 / GPJ is given. This can only be used
with com.tom GRAPHIC devices. Otherwise do not connect the
GPJ power supply.
