Sending documents (For details refer to pages 3-6 to 3-9.)
1. Feed the document face-down into the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).
2. If necessary, set the resolution and contrast. (See pages 3-3 to 3-5 for details.)
3. Dial the other party's fax number. Do this by one of these methods:
• Use the numeric buttons to dial the number.
• Press the one-touch speed dialling button assigned to the number you wish to dial.
• Press KURZWAHL and enter the two-digit code assigned to the number you wish to
dial.
4. Press (START/KOPIE).
Note: If you have an extension phone connected and you wish to talk to the other party
before sending the document, lift the handset and dial the other party's number.
When the other party answers, converse normally. When you are ready to send your
document, ask the other party to set their fax machine to receive (usually by
pressing the start button). Then press
hang up.

Receiving faxes manually (MANUELLER EM)
1. Make sure you have connected an extension phone. (See page 2-22 for details.)
2. Press EMPFANGSMODUS until MANUELLER EM appears in the LCD.
3. When the T-Fax 362 PC rings, pick up the handset.
4. If you hear a person's voice, start your conversation. If the caller wants to send a document
after talking to you, press

If you hear a slow beep or silence, press
hang up to receive the fax.
*You can also start receiving the document by pressing "25" on the extension phone and hanging up.
Receiving faxes automatically (AUTOM. EMPFANG)
1. Press EMPFANGSMODUS until AUTOM. EMPFANG appears in the LCD.
Once set, the T-Fax 362 PC assumes all incoming calls are from fax machines sending
documents. It receives the documents automatically and disconnects all voice calls.
Receiving faxes and phone calls automatically (FAX/TEL SCHALTER)
1. Make sure you have connected an extension phone. (See page 2-22 for details.)
2. Press EMPFANGSMODUS until FAX/TEL SCHALTER appears in the LCD.
Once set, the T-Fax 362 PC receives faxes automatically, and rings if it is a voice call.
Receiving faxes and phone calls with an answering machine (ANRB/FAX SCHALT)
1. Make sure you have connected an answering machine. (See page 2-22 for details.)
2. Press EMPFANGSMODUS until ANRB/FAX SCHALT appears in the LCD.
Once set, the T-Fax 362 PC receives faxes automatically, and directs all voice calls to the
answering machine.
