1. Power Switch (POWER)
This turns the power on/off. If the TU-70 is left untouchedfor morethan ten minutes, the power will be turned
off automatically ( AutoPowerOfo.Whenthe2,oranybuttonfrom5 through8hasbeen pressed, t hepowerwill
be turnedoff tenminutesafter thebuttonwaspressed last.Byturning on thepower while simultaneously
holdingdownbuttons5—8, you candefeat t heAuto Power O ff function. T henexttimethepower is turnedon,
Auto PowerOff Will onceagain be activated.
2. ught Button (LIGHT)
This switchesthe backlit on/off. The backlit will automaticallybe turned off in threeminutes. If Ehe Auto Power
Off function hasbeen deactivated at powerup, the Auto Backlit Off function will not work.
3. Liquid Crystal Indicators
3-1. This indicatesthe mode (guitar/bass mode, auto/manual mode).
3-2.Thisgraphically indicates thestringnumberandstringposition.

5. Auto Button
(AUTO)
In Automode, t hisselects guitarorbassmodes. I n Automode, t hestringnumberis displayedautomatically for
the input sound. Normally you will tune in Auto mode.
6. Manual Button (MANUAL)
In Manualmode, this specifies the string that you wish to tune. [n Manual mode, you must first speci.9the string
name thatyou wish to tune.Thisis useful f or tuningwhenyouhavechanged stringsorwhenyou havechanged
modes.First use the Auto button to *lect guitar/bass mode.
7. Tuning Mode Select Button (MODE)
This selectsthe timing mode. In Guitar made, pressing the Mode button cycles you through the settings as
follows: F lat(b) — Doubleflat (

8. Pitch Button (PITCH)
Thisadjuststhe referencepitch. Whenyou pressthe Pitch button Once, t he indicator showing the currentreference
pitch(3-3) w ill blinkforapproximately t woseconds. Whileit isblinking, y oucanpress thePitchbuttononceagain
tochange thereference p itch in 1Hz steps. P ress t hePitch buttonrepeatedly u ntil youobtainthedesired reference
pitch.
