Use of the face shield
The face shield must be used in the lowered position in order to assure the protection of the face and eyes
Storage – Important !
When the helmet is stocked, the earmuffs should not be left pressing on the helmet shell for long periods.
The cushions and also the slots of the helmets can be damaged by the permanent pressure.
2. Instructions : Personal adjustment
Pull the ratchet wheel (1) outwards and turn anti-clockwise to tighten the headband. Press on the ratchet wheel to lock it in position.
The headband should now be properly in place on the back of the head.
Certification
The FOREST RANGER helmets are tested and comply with EN397.
Utilisation
The FOREST RANGER helmets protect the wearer from falling objects
up to a certain limit and are also tested at -30°C.
Maintenance
The helmet shell can be cleaned with a soft cloth and warm soapy water
(less than 50°C). The use of solvents and other chemical cleaning products
is not recommended as they can attack the substance of the helmet shell.
Inspection
Before each use, the helmet should be inspected for damage such as cuts or splits If any such damage is evident the helmet
should be replaced. If the Crash box cover shows any sign of damage the helmet should be replaced immediately. If the helmet
has received a substantial shock but show no sign of damage it should still be replaced.
Storage and transport
Store the FOREST RANGER at ambient temperature in a clean dry place here it will not be damaged. Do not store it on the back
window ledge of a car.
Chinstraps
The chinstrap is attached to the lateral hooks (2) on the head harness and will open automatically in case of danger of strangulation.
Spare Parts
The following spare parts are available for the FOREST RANGER :
6 point head harness with ratchet adjustment
Long sweat band (3)
Chinstraps, chin protectors, neck curtains.
