SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Make sure that the voltage of your mains supply corresponds to that shown on the identification
plate on the underside of your appliance.
• Never leave your kettle unattended when in use.
• This kettle has not been designed to be used by persons (including children) with physical,
sensory or mental impairments or who are lacking in experience or knowledge, unless they have
been given the necessary supervision and prior instructions about how to use this appliance by
a person responsible for their safety.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Always hold the kettle using the handle. The body is made of stainless steel which is an excellent
conductor of heat and can get hot.
• The kettle must always be plugged into an earthed socket.
• Never allow the power cord to dangle over the edge of the worktop.
• Make sure the kettle or its power cord never comes into contact with a hot or wet surface.
• Always unplug the kettle after use and before cleaning. Do not unplug by pulling on the cord.
• If your appliance has broken down, if your appliance has fallen, or if the supply cord is damaged,
it must be repaired by the manufacturer, their service agent or similarly qualified persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
• The kettle is solely intended for boiling water and is not suitable for heating other types of liquid.
• Only boil with the filter in place and the lid closed.
• Do not fill the kettle above the maximum level (risk of scalding).
• Make sure the kettle is off before removing it from its base.
• Do not open the lid when the water is boiling.
• Only use the base supplied by the manufacturer for this kettle.
• Problems due to failure to descale or descaling that has not been carried out according to the
instructions are not covered by the guarantee.
• Do not use your kettle outdoors.
• This kettle is intended solely for domestic use.
The following usages are not covered by the guarantee: in kitchen areas reserved for personnel
in shops, offices and other workplace environments, on farms, by the patrons of hotels, motels
and other commercial environments of a residential nature, and in bed and breakfast-type
environments.
• If you can not identify the cause of your problem, consult your retailer or contact our customer care
department.
• You must never attempt to dismantle your appliance.
