The jig saw must not be touching anything
before you start the saw.
Do not use cracked, blunt or damaged
blades.
Replacing saw blades
Remove the battery from the jig saw.
Pull the saw blade holder back and pull the
old blade out at the same time.
Place the shaft of the new blade into the
saw blade holder and release the saw blade
holder.
Pull the blade to check that it is correctly
positioned and locked in place in the slot in
the saw blade wheel.
Replace the battery in the jig saw.
Use
Adjusting the baseplate
The baseplate (7) can be angled in relation
to the saw direction to allow bevelling.
Loosen the two screws under the baseplate,
adjust the plate to the desired angle and
retighten the screws.
The angle can be read on the scale on the
baseplate.
Start, stop and speed control
Start the jig saw by pressing the on/off
button (4) and the safety button (3) at
the same time. The blade will move up
and down. The longer the on/off button
is pressed in, the quicker the saw blade
moves.
Stop the saw by releasing the on/off button.
General information about sawing
Never use a blade unsuitable for the task
and item to be cut.
Hold the saw in front of you with a firm grip.
Make sure the saw blade is not touching
anything when the jig saw is started.
Make sure that the item is clamped tight,
and that the saw line is clearly marked.
Start the jig saw. Place the baseplate on the
item and let the saw blade touch the saw
line.
Saw, but do not place more pressure on
the blade than is necessary. Avoid lateral
pressure on the blade.
Special notes on jig sawing
Place the front of the baseplate on the item
so the jig saw is vertical and the blade is
correctly positioned in relation to the saw
line without touching it.
Start the saw and tilt it slowly down while
supporting it using the baseplate until the
blade touches the item at the saw line.
Let the blade work through the item,
continuing to tip the jig saw downwards
until the baseplate is flush to the item and
the blade is perpendicular to it.
