und Filmen und kann auf allen Kanälen eingesetzt werden. Dank der
breiten Abstrahlung und der nahezu identischen Bestückung eignet sie
sich aber auch besonders gut zur Besetzung der Effektkanäle bei einem
bestehenden Stereo-System der Linea-S Baureihe.
Wird ein Centerlautsprecher eingesetzt, sollte er in Achse zur Bildquelle
vor dem Hörer und möglichst mittig zwischen den Frontlautsprechern
platziert werden. Bei einem 5.1 Setup sollten die rückwärtigen Lautspre-
cher auf der 4 Uhr bzw. 8 Uhr Position stehen, ausgehend vom Hörplatz
im Zentrum eines gedachten Ziffernblatts mit Blickrichtung nach 12 Uhr.
Bei Verwendung eines zusätzlichen Back-Surround-Kanals rücken die
linken und rechten Surroundspeaker auf die 3 Uhr bzw. 9 Uhr Position vor,
der zusätzliche Back-Surround-Lautsprecher wird auf 6 Uhr positioniert
(6.1), bzw. zwei zusätzliche Back-Surround-Lautsprecher auf der 5 Uhr
und 7 Uhr Position (7.1).
Bitte beachten Sie, dass vor der Inbetriebnahme eines Surround-Systems
alle damit verbundenen Lautsprecher über den Surround-Verstärker auf
dieselben Lautstärkepegel und Entfernungen bezogen auf den Hörplatz
hin justiert werden müssen (befolgen Sie dazu die Anleitung zu Ihrem
Surround-Verstärker).
Subwoofer
Um auch im unteren Tiefton-Bereich eine optimale und druckvolle
Klangwiedergabe zu erreichen, was vor allem im Heimkino-Betrieb für
ein besonders realistisches Klangerlebnis sorgt, kann zu den LINEA-R
Heimlautsprechern der Subwoofer SW-10 oder SW-12 ergänzt werden.
Anschluss der Lautsprecher
Wir empfehlen die Verwendung von sauerstofffreien Kupferlitzen zum
Anschluss Ihrer MR-B1 an den Verstärker. Bei kurzen Kabelwegen (<2m)
ist bereits ein Aderquerschnitt von 1,5 mm² ausreichend, bei größeren
Entfernungen empfiehlt sich zur Vermeidung hoher Übertragungswider-
stände ein Querschnitt von 2,5 mm² oder 4 mm².
Verbinden Sie zunächst das Lautsprecherkabel mit den Anschlüssen des
Lautsprechers. Die Terminals erlauben den Anschluss eines Kabelquer-
schnitts von bis zu 6 mm².
Verbinden Sie jetzt die Lautsprecherkabel mit den Lautsprecher-Ausgän-
gen des Verstärkers. Der Verstärker muss beim Anschließen der Laut-
sprecher ausgeschaltet sein und der Volumen-Regler sollte auf minimal
eingestellt sein.
Bitte achten Sie beim Anschluss der Lautsprecher unbedingt auf die
richtige Polung. Die markierte oder speziell gekennzeichnete Ader des
Lautsprecherkabels (+ Polung) verbinden Sie mit dem roten Anschluss
(+), die andere Ader mit dem schwarzen Anschluss (-) des Verstärkers.
Eine unterschiedliche Polung zwischen dem linken und dem rechten
Kanal hat eine massive Klangverfälschung zur Folge. Eine präzise räum-
liche Abbildung ist damit unmöglich und es entsteht dazu ein sehr hoher
„Bassverlust". Diese Hinweise haben auch ihre Gültigkeit, wenn Sie die
GermanMAESTRO LINEA-R Lautsprecher mit einem Mehrkanal-Surround-
Verstärker betreiben.

wide irradiation and the almost identical equipment, the MR-B1 is
also suitable to complement a Linea-S stereo set as a rear speaker.
If you're using a center speaker, it should be placed on axis with
the screen in front of the listener and as centered between the front
speakers as possible. Using a 5.1 setup, the rear speakers should
be at the 4 o'clock and the 8 o'clock position, based on an imagi-
nary clock with the listening position as center and the screen at
12 o'clock. If you use an additional back surround channel, the rear
speakers will move to the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions, while
the additional rear speaker is placed at the 6 o'clock position (6.1). If
using 2 additional rear speakers, they will be placed at the 5 o'clock
and 7 o'clock positions (7.1).
Please note that for a well performing surround-sound all speakers
have to be connected with the same polarity and adjusted in the
same way regarding volume and distance in relation to the liste-
ning position (to do so, please follow the manual of your surround
receiver).
Subwoofer
In order to achieve good and powerful sound reproduction in the
lower bass range, especially for a realistic home-cinema feeling, the
LINEA-R home loudspeakers can be supplemented by the SW-10 or
SW-12 subwoofer.
Connecting the loudspeakers
We recommend using deoxygenated copper lace wire for connecting
the MR-B1 with an amplifier. For short distances (<2m), a wire with
a cross section of 1,5 mm² is sufficient. For longer distances, the
cross section should be 2,5 mm² - 4 mm² to avoid high transfer
resistances.
First, connect the wire with the connectors of the speaker. The
terminals support profiles up to 6 mm².
Go ahead by connecting the speaker wire with the amplifier terminal.
The amplifier has to be turned off while doing that and the volume
control should be at minimum position.
Please ensure correct polarity when connecting the loudspeakers.
The specially marked strand of the loudspeaker cable (+ pole) must
be connected to the red terminal (+), and the other strand to the black
terminal (-) of the amplifier.
Reversed polarity between the left and right channel will result in
distorted sound reproduction. A precise spatial sound imaging is not
achievable any more, and a great lack of volume at the low frequen-
cy range will occur. These instructions also apply when operating
the GermanMAESTRO LINEA-R loudspeakers with a multi-channel
surround-sound amplifier.
