About the product
Kamado cookers are exceptionally versatile. They can be used not only for grilling and smoking but
also for baking pizzas, bread, pies, and cookies with ease. Thanks to their excellent heat retention,
they are capable of reaching and maintaining high temperatures, which can be precisely controlled
using the top and bottom vents. High temperatures are ideal for quickly cooking burgers and
sausages, while lower heats are perfect for slow-cooking larger joints over an extended period. For
added flavour, try adding wood chips to the charcoal, or experiment with a combination of different
wood varieties to enhance the taste of your meats even further.

● When opening the lid at high temperatures, lift it only slightly, allowing air to enter slowly and
safely to prevent any backdrafts or flare-ups that may cause injury.
● Do not use the Kamado on decking or other flammable surfaces such as dry grass, wood
chips, leaves, or decorative bark.
● Ensure that the Kamado is positioned at least 2 metres away from flammable items.
● Do not use this Kamado as a furnace.
● This product will become very hot. Do not move it during operation.
● Always use heat-resistant gloves, especially when handling the air vent, hot ceramics, or
cooking surface.
● Allow the unit to cool completely before moving or storing.
● Always inspect the unit prior to use for wear or damage and replace parts as necessary.
● The maximum amount of charcoal for this barbecue is 1 kg.
Extinguishing
● To extinguish the unit, stop adding fuel and close all vents and the lid to allow the fire to die
naturally.
● Do not use water to extinguish the charcoal, as this could damage the ceramic Kamado.
● Tighten the bands and oil the hinge twice a year, or more frequently if needed.
Lighting, usage and care
● Ensure the Kamado is positioned on a permanent, flat, level, heat-resistant, non-flammable
surface, away from flammable items.
● Ensure the Kamado has a minimum of 2 m overhead clearance and at least 2 m clearance
from surrounding items.
● To start a fire, place a rolled-up newspaper with some firelighter cubes or solid firelighters on
the charcoal plate at the base of the Kamado. Then place one or two handfuls of lump
charcoal over the newspaper. Maximum amount of lump charcoal: 0.4 kg.
● Do not use petrol, spirit, lighter fluid, alcohol, or other similar chemicals for lighting or
re-lighting.
● Open the bottom vent and light the newspaper using a long-nosed lighter or safety matches.
Once it has caught, leave the bottom vent and lid open for approximately 10 minutes to build
a small bed of hot embers.
● It is recommended not to stoke or turn the coals once they are alight. This allows the charcoal
to burn more uniformly and efficiently.
● Once alight, only use heat-resistant gloves when handling hot ceramics or cooking surfaces.
● See below for cooking instructions depending on temperature and duration.
