3.1 Risk of iniury!
- The saddleshouldbe fitted professionally;it mustnot slideforwards and backwardswhen cycling.
Never adjust the saddlewhilst cycling.
- If usinga quick release,you mustmakesurethat it is tight after closingit.
- Beforeeach use,makesurethatall screwsare tight and tightenany loosescrewsif necessary. T he
saddlemayonly be usedif it is in proper condition! If there are any cracksor groovesin sensitive
areas of the saddle (e.g. at bolted ioints)it mustbe replaced immediately.

4.1 MontageMedicus-City-Sattel und Medicus•Trekking-Sattel
Montage mit Kerzen-Sattelstützen (Bild A):
BefestigenSieden SattelmittelsdesvormontiertenSattelklobens (1) auf der Kerzensattelstütze. Hier-
zu die Mutteram Sattelklobenlösen, bis die Kerzeder Sattelstütze in den Klobenpasst.Anschlie-
Benddie Mutterwieder gut festziehen(24 Nm —26 Nm).
Montage mit einer Patentsattelstütze.
Fürdie Benutzungmiteiner Patentsattelstütze den vormontiertenSattelklobenkomplettentfernen,
hierzu die Mutter am Sattelkloben
Sattel direkt auf einer Patent-Sattelstütze montiert werden (Bild B).
4.2 MontageMedicus-MTB-Sattel
Montage mit einer Patentsattelstütze(Bild B).
Der Sattel kann direkt auf der Patent-Sattelstütze
Montage mit Kerzen-Sattelstützen
VerfahrenSiewie unter4.1 beschrieben (der Sattelklobenist beim MTB-Sattel nicht im Lieferumfang
enthaIten).
5. Einstellung der Sitzposition
Zur Höheneinstellung des Sattelsauf das Fahrradsetzen(damitSie nicht umkippen,lassensichvon
eineranderen Person helfen)unddie Fersebei senkrecht g estellterTretkurbel a uf das unterePedal
stellen.DerSattelhat dann die richtige Höhe,wenn die Fersemit durchgestecktem Beinebenauf
dem Pedal sitzt. Beachten Sie die Markierung an der Sattelstützefür die Mindesteinstecktiefe, die
Sattelstütze darf nicht mitder Markierungausdem Sattelrohr zeigen.
Zur horizontalenEinstellung richtenSie die Sitzflächedes Sattelszunächstwaagerechtaus (BildC).
AnschließendsetzenSie sichauf das Fahrrad(damitSie nicht umkippen,lassensichvon einer an-
deren Personhelfen)und Stellen Sie den Fußbei waagerechtgestellterTretkurbel a uf das nach vorn
zeigende Pedal. Den Sattel soweit nach vorne zum Lenker Oder hinten zum Gepöckträger verschie-
ben (BildC), bis ihre Kniescheibe im Lotmitder Pedalmitteist (BildD). FürsicherenHalt unbedingt
darauf achten,dassder Sattelinnerhalbder MarkierungbefestigtWird (BildE).
Bei den ModellenMedicus-City-Sattel und Medicus-Trekking-Sattel sicherstellen, d ass nach ieder
Einstellung des Satteldie Mutteram Sattelklobenwieder gut festgezogenist (24 Nm — 26 Nm).
6. Reinigung und Aufbewahrung
DenSattelstetsin einemtrockenenRaumaufbewahrenund einzig mit einemfeuchtenTuchab
wischen,anschließend gut trocknen.Benutzen Sie keineätzendenOderscheuernden Reinigungs-
mittel. Hierdurch entstehenBeschädigungen an der Satteldecke.

4.1 Fittingthe Medicuscity saddleand Medicustrekking saddle
Fitting with plain seatposts(figure A):
Attach the saddleto the plain seatpostusingthe pre-fittedsaddleclamp (1).To do so, oosenthe nut
of the saddleclamp until the seatpostfits in the clamp.Thenretightenthe nut securely(24 Nm — 26 Nm).
Fittingwith a seatpostwith integratedclamp.
To usewith a seatpost with integrated clamp, remove the pre-fitted saddle clamp completely; to do
so unscrewthe nuton the saddleclamp and take the bolt out. Thesaddlecan then be directlyfitted
onto a seatpost w ith integratedclamp (figureB).
4.2 Fittingthe Medicusmountainbike saddle
Fittingwith a seatpostwith integratedclamp (figure B).
The saddlecan be fitted directly onto the seatpostwith integratedclamp.
Fittingwith plain seatposts
Followthe proceduredescribedunder4.1 (thesaddleclamp is not includedwith the mountainbike
saddle).
5. Changing the sitting position
To changethe height of the saddle,sit on the bicycle (havesomeonehelp you so thatyou do not
fall over) and, makingsurethat the pedalsare in a verticalposition, placeyour heelon the lower
pedal. Thesaddleis at the correct heightwhenyour heelsitsflat on the pedal when your leg is
stretched out fully.Takenoteof the markingon the seatpostfor the minimuminsertiondepth; the
markingmustnot be visibleabove the top of the seattube.
To adjustthe saddle in the horizontal plane, first adjustthe saddleso that it is level (figureC). Then
sit on the bicycle (havesomeonehelpyou so that you do not fall over) and, makingsurethatthe
pedalsare in a vertical position,place your foot on the pedal which is facing forwards. Push the
saddleforwards towardsthe handlebarsor backwardstowardsthe luggagerack (figureC) until
your kneecapis perpendicularto the middleof the pedals (figureD).To ensurethat it is secure,
makesurethat the saddle is attachedwithin the markings(figureE).
Forthe Medicuscity saddleand Medicustrekkingsaddle models,makesurethatthe nut on the
saddleclamp is retightenedproperly (24 Nm
6. Cleaning and storage
Always keep the saddle in a dry room; only wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Do not
useany corrosiveor abrasivecleaningagents.The useof theseagentsmay lead to damageto the
saddle cloth.

Fixezla selle l'aide du serre-iointde selleprémonté(1) sur la tige de selle.Desserrezl'écrou du
serre-iointde selleiusqu'å ce que la tige de sele passedans le serre-ioint.Ensuite, r esserrezbien
'écrou (24 Nm —26 Nm).
Montageavec un pour-tigebreveté.
Pourl'utilisationde la selleavec un pour-tigebreveté,retirezentiérement l e serre-iointde selle
prémonté.Pource faire, dévissezl'écrou du serre-iointde selleet retirez le boulon. Lasellepeut
ensuite étre montée directement sur un pour-tige breveté (photo B).
4.2 Montagede la sellede VTTMedicus

Procédezcommedécrit au point 4. I (le serre-ioint d e sellen'est pas ivré avec a sellede VTT)
5. Réglage de Ia position de la selle
Pourrégler la hauteurde la sele, asseyez-vous s ur le vélo (demandez quelqu'unde vousaider
pour ne pas tomber)et placez votre pied sur la pédalearriöre unefois que le pédalier est la
verticale.Laselleest la bonne hauteurunefois quevotre jambe esttenduequand votrepied est
sur Ia pédale. Faitesattentionau repérepour la profondeurminimaled'enfoncementsur le tube
porte-selle : le repöresur le tube porte-selle nedoit pas étre visible.
Pourrégler la selle l'horizontale,commencezpar mettrele siögede la selle niveau(photoC).
Asseyez-vous e nsuitesur le vélo (demandez quelqu'unde vousaider pour ne pas tomber)et
placez votre pied sur la pédaleavant unefois que le pédalier est l'horizontale.Avancezla selle
iusqu'auguidon ou reculez-laiusqu'au porte-bagages(photoC) de maniöred ce quevotre rotule
soit perpendiculaireau milieude la pédale (photoD). Pourun maintiensür,veillez impérativement
ce que le repöre sur le tube porte-selle ne soit pas visible (photo E).

6. Nettoyage et conservation
estrecommandé de conserverla selletouioursdans un local secet de la nettoyeruniquement a vec
